About this listen

Mor has spent her entire life trying to make her miserable family happy until a chance conversation while working in her brother's coffee shop costs Mor her job and home in one go. Luckily, the man who instigated the upheaval of her life offers her a place to fall.

Moving in with four sexy guys and getting out from under her loathsome family?

Hell, yes!

The guys all thought they were saving a damsel in distress. No one expected her to save them right back.

A choice too much

Would have been much better without the author's choice to bombard with so many swear words. A spattering would've been more natural and not seemed so forced and excessive.

Poor reading

The text was decent but the reading was pretty poor; it took away from the story.

Listen first!

Still wading through it. *UGH* this narrator though! First, she sounds 15, okay weird but maybe I can work around it, I’ve been here since the beginning...2nd words like nipple come out sounding more like nnniPPle, as though pronounced with a long hard ‘N’. Weird-er. STILL want to like it but...ugh!

Hated... Most of it...

So full honesty, I hated everything until about chapter 12. I almost quit several times and got mad at myself for continuing. The entire story in the beginning if awful.
Day one - girl meets one boy
Day two - girl is living with 4 boys
Day three - girl has NO SEX at all in this book when that could have saved it much earlier on
Day four - girl is literally the stupid one in a horror movie who you scream at not to run that way Spolier, she runs that way
I just can't. The narrator is awful as well, the way phrases comes out are all wrong and annoying in that whiney sort of voice.

Redemption!!! Im a sucker for fated mates and male alpha protectivness crap so towards the end of this book that alone saved it for me.

Love the storyline but

Loved the storyline but the when the reader was narrating a times she sounded very robotic like Siri, but she nailed the accents and voices for the characters.

Sometimes you need a bit of Ridiculous

Oh hunny. Just wow. Sometimes I need a bit of ridiculous, and this is just the right amount. Over explanation and jumping from trope to trope gave a different type of entertainment value, but I’m an odd duck.

Em’s pauses have always thrown me off in her narration. Although, her narrations do tend to improve when she gets into a rhythm.

This was hard to finish

I had a hard time finishing this book due both to the writing and the narrator. I felt the narrator didn’t bring anything to the story and instead detracted by the lack of inflection or inflection in the wrong places. I also found the repetitiveness in the book very tiresome. I found it ironic when the FMC talked about not liking romantic movies because all the issues usually came down to the MC’s not having a conversation. But then when issues come up, she doesn’t have conversations to fix things. Very frustrating.

It’s okay

I think this book would have been a lot more successful as a first person point of view. It’s often hard to follow why the MC makes strange decisions and the narrator just blames everything on her upbringing. There is also just a lot of activity in the book that is at best cringeworthy and can give the sense of emotional whiplash. The book is pretty predictable and everything falls into place a bit too easily for me. I’m not a book quitter, but this might be an exception for me.
