About this listen

My Lyran Lover

A handsome Lyran diplomat wants to marry me and will not take "no" for an answer. Of course, he is a tall, muscular, and jaguar-like god of a man, but I’m not ready to give up my freedom in the galaxy.

However, I can do dinner.

He says he has two surprises for me.

I am human.

I am curious.

This story isn't as fun or crazy as the first book. It also finishes a bit abruptly with a lot of loose ends in Gia's life. The good news is that the description on the Kindle book states:
"GIA WILL HAVE HER HEA IN BOOK FIVE WITH ONE OF THESE MEN FROM BOOKS ONE THROUGH FOUR. STAY TUNED AND ENJOY THE RIDE.".

So overall I would consider this a bridge/setup story that requires having read/listened to the first book. I do hope Isla Noir finishes the series and that the publisher improves the sound production. Nora Rose is a decent narrator but the sound quality is atrocious.

This wasn’t funny or as random as the first book. Had I listened to this on first, I wouldn’t have gotten the second one.

Great short-story of strong independent Gia and her dating adventures on Falcon station in the 27th century. Lots of comic relief and also a few steamy scenes with her cat-alien lover Tiro, who she has an on-off relationship with. The ending is not HEA but more lighthearted. Maybe all relationships do not need to be so serious. I also appreciated the proper world building.

The narration is with a British accent which once I got into was I nice variation.

Fun lighthearted story
