About this listen

A thrall is supposed to be a grateful, willing servant, and constant source for their Vampyre Lord.

I am not willing, and I despise being in his presence.

The days have blurred together ever since he forced his blood down my throat.

This is supposed to be illegal in society, but the laws don’t apply to the Vampyre King.

It doesn’t matter how much I fight him off and refuse to bend to his will despite his blood running through my veins—it only makes him want me more.

Apparently, I’m an anomaly. No one has ever refused the call of a Vampyre’s blood.

I try to keep my hope alive that someone will step in and right the wrongs of my injustice…. But no one does.

There’s nothing I can do to escape this misery.

I’m paraded around in front of the King’s Lords at a banquet, freely offered as a source to whoever wants a taste.

Until Vampyre Lords from distant lands threaten a war for my release from captivity. While I should fear them, I find myself drawn to them instead.

They light the spark of hope within my soul that I thought was long extinguished.

Perhaps this isn’t always how my life will be.

Perhaps I’ll find my freedom.

Amazing Start of the series!

Omg I loved this book, pretty much devoured it in a day. The story starts with a human girls named Kaiela who’s family is killed and she’s taken prisoner by a Vampire King at a young age to be the kings thrall. When Kaiela starts to rebel, the king punishes her and has all his lords drink from her. She sees the three Lords who refuse to take her blood and is rescued. From there, she learns some interesting things about herself and has a bond to the three Lords. It does end on a cliffhanger, but it’s to be expected. I just hope the next book comes out soon. The narrators did a great job as well.

Yes!!!

Loved this!!! The narrator Noel was as always swoon worthy, First heard him as Shadow Beast in the Rejected series and Erin is simply divine as the heroine!!! The storyline is really engaging and I binged all three book's in one day.

Amazing story telling and great narrators

Loved this! This had wonderful characters and story lines for them. The narrations had beautiful balance. The man talked at all the parts that were men and the woman talked for all the women parts. I hate stories that go back and forth with each narrator doing the whole chapter. it sounds wrong. This book did a wonderful job with who talks when. I recommend this book.

Fantastic Narration

Fantastic Narration by Erin Quinn and Noel Harrison (one of my favorite male narrators)! Great storyline and chemistry between characters. It does have moments where things seem to slow a bit, but the narrators are great at keeping your attention. The spice was a bit lacking in the series, so I’m excited to start the next book to see if things get spicier between the main characters.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great duet narration!

why does this grown woman sound like a child.....

The book was not horrible. What got me was the voice actors. Especially the female. When she needs inflection in her response, she barely sqeaks them out, and on top of that, when she talks to the males, she sounds like a 5 year old child!! If the whole trying to be cute thing annoys you when a grown female is talking, please don't buy this. All the men are the same. He's not horrible it just all are the same voice, and I would get confused about which one was talking out of 3. It would probably be better read on own terms. I just strongly dislike a woman sounding like a child it's unnerving. She talks about being a strong, independent woman. The voice actress should sound like one.
