About this listen

My Knight. My Rebel. My Forbidden Villain.

In the dazzling lights of Vegas, I indulged in a passionate one-night stand with a man who looked like a Greek god in the flesh. We agreed: no names, no strings attached, just an unforgettable night of fun. The plan was simple—say goodbye and move on. Little did I know fate had other ideas for me.

I never expected to run into Mr. Greek god in New York a week later at my fathers fundraiser. Nor to find out that the godlike man is Luc Le Blanche, the NHL star defenseman for the Hawks. The Hawks, as in the hockey team my father just bought.

To make matters worse, my father declares me off-limits to him because of the bitter rivalry between Luc's father and mine. Luc has also made an enemy out of my father since the teams sale. Due to the control my father has over my inheritance and Luc's career with the team, we were forced to obey his demands.

The problem is we can't keep our hands off each other. Despite the stakes, neither of us can resist the magnetic pull drawing us together.

Caught between desire and duty, Luc proposes a daring solution: We see each other in secret. Of course, I agree. I know the risk and what's at stake if we get caught. I also know he can't be mine. Yet, each stolen moment and every forbidden kiss fuels my hunger for the 6'6 tattooed hockey god.

When things get complicated, I'm not sure what will break me more. The exposure of our secret romance. Or falling for him. A man my father calls the villain.

Excellent storyline, narrators were awesome as usual for these two. Female character had me yelling out loud in my car several times to speak up for herself against her father.

I had to drive around my block to finish the book before I was able to go home.

A good one!!

This book was a delicious read! The characters and their interactions throughout the storyline were both engaging and steamy!

A scrumptious “Puck” of a read!

Female narrator has a very winey voice. At first I thought she used that time to exude a woman fighting a mental breakdown after being told terrible/hurtful news but I realized by chapter 7 she just narrates this way. Also bending to all of your fathers will for 2million bucks? I would literally asked Luke to send me the $2mil for us to date and at the least him not be able to break up and leave me broke and broken.

Allowing your father to run your entire life all for 2mil?!!! 🙄 dragging you out of your own “boyfriends” house like you’re a child? For this reason I wanted to drop my stars down to a 3 but I feel like it’s not fair because maybe I mostly just don’t like the female narrator lol 😩 The first two stories set me up for happiness and this plot just didn’t work for my logical brain.

Meh 🫤

This story does not break any records, it doesn't even break any misconceptions, sadly, because whatever you're thinking about this book is probably true. It's a plain, it's been written a thousand times before, romance novel. Sebastian York does the MMC proud. Lucy Rivers, on the other hand, was the voice of the MFC and I hated it. I absolutely hated the way she presented the character, voiced the character, everything. I hated so much that I ended up fast forwarding through her chapters, whenever she narrated and felt I did not miss anything important that I could not figure out from the next chapter. And bonus that I didn't have to listen to her. Honestly, I think it would be very telling if Audible were to separate out each narrator and allow us to vote on each individually for every book. They would get a better idea of which narrators were actually the favorites and which were not.

Nothing Exciting Here

This seemed so high school. The MFC inter dialogue and behavior was so ridiculous. Luke deserved a much better depiction than this book gave him.
The other books in this series are so much better. Skip this one…

Disappointed…..

The female voice was really irritating. She sound like a child. I didn't enjoy this book of the series.
