worked for me

. League roster, standings, scoring, scheduling, team and individual stats are all handled using a combination of inner/outer joins, subqueries and calculations. If you are new to SQL select queries and you want pull data from multiple tables, this book will show you how.

professional book

There are few database books that are pure gold from cover to cover. This is one of those books. Timeless database principles applied to real life situations. I simply cannot recommend this book enough. The authors not that it is not geared towards DBA's...yeah right! This is a must rlisten for any database professional.

VERY WELLL

This book is very well laid out (worked great as a audible book), for a developer it proceeds in the perfect order. A small descriptive introduction to each subject followed by a few examples in pseudo code then a reasonable set of real examples using the sample database. This layout makes it very useful as a reference; it is easy to find the command you need and the information is easy to see

easy options

Easy to listen and very helpful for me. I have some programming background but I'm mostly self-taught. I generally view myself as a beginner.

better guide

It is mostly prose with some code and SQL sprinkled throughout, but if you have a foundation, you can flesh out the technique. It is like listening to a graduate level lecture. It is distilled wisdom more than How To, and the more you bring to the material, the more you will get from it.

great subject

Very well explained; examples are a bit goofy, perhaps, but the author is undeniably knowledgeable and has much to say both on commonly referenced mistakes - insufficient indexing - and also on less commonly known ones - like overindexing. Overall, the book covers the subject quite well

great progamms

SQL being a declarative style language is intuitive in simplicity, and yet, the instincts are not enough when you enter the labyrinth of complex problems. From an application developer's prospect, I'm familiar with different mindsets of programmers

very satisfied

I downloaded a few books on basic programming over the weekend because my boss required us to. It’s not a topic that I enjoy listening about, to be honest, but this book was a pleasant surprise. Interesting . I actually did learn something, and that’s a big deal because I can’t say that for everything I get off the audible store. Thanks to the decent amount of how-to content this book had. Very satisfied!

greta advice

Terrific book that clarifies the nuts and bolts of SQL like no other book I've encountered on the subject. I still refer back to it frequently when trying new approaches.
