A NEW YORK TIMES & USA TODAY BESTSELLER

By New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling New Adult author H.M. Ward. There are some relationships that destroy your faith in people. They make you jaded and hard, irrevocably changing you forever. I wish I could say that I hate her, I wish I could walk away and never look back, but I can't... I have to save her.

The woman who stole my heart and crushed it in her hand disappeared from my life 3 years ago. So when I see her at a bachelor party, half naked, rolling around on the floor with another stripper, I'm shocked. I have to know what cracked Cassie Hale's picture perfect world that landed her in this hellhole, and I hope that I'm not so bitter that I can't help her escape.

Okay

It's an okay story. For me personally it just lacked that "pull" that takes me into a story and makes me want more. I'd say this would be a great sale book. I'd rather use my credit on a better selection.

To be continued? NO!!!!!!!!!

I got this book since it seemed like a great story line & it didn't disappoint. John & Cassie's characters are cute, funny and one can't help but route for them. The narrators were each so amazing that they made the characters burst to life. Only major complaint, that so much time was spent on flash backs instead of spending more time on the current moment. I was so into the story that when it finished the way it did, I yelled when I saw that I didn't just forget to download the second half. It was over. Only to find out that the second book isn't due out til sometime next year. The wait is going to drive me insane. This book is just that awesome.

sexy man whore + beautiful virgin= LOVE

I found H.M. Ward through Damaged and became intrigued with the Ferro boys. This story is about Jonathan, the youngest of the three brothers and his life is always getting him into trouble. He has a way with the ladies and can’t seem to stay out of the press. His mother sends him away to Mississippi for the summer so things will cool down. There is where he meets Cassie Hale, a virgin. He can't believe she thinks she can hold out for Mr. Perfect to give her V-card away. Stripped is about Cassie and Jonny, it’s about their short romance, their summer fling and the heartbreak that followed. A large majority of this book is a flashback to when Jon met Cassie. Their relationship was amazing. Jon was truly changed by Cassie. She changed him more then he thought possible. The relationship between these two is filled with sexual tension! Cassie was great. I adored her character. She was shy but with smart witty comebacks when necessary. He was relentless to pursue her. Jon's story gives you a bit of two broken souls that at one time were the only thing that seemed to put each other together, and at the same time were the only thing that seemed to be able to tear them apart.... Forward to present day and Cassie is a stripper at his brother Peter’s bachelor party. Jonathan can’t figure what happened to Cassie for her to end up here. He finds himself hurt and still angry but still wants to help her out of her situation, whatever it is. Unfortunately, the book basically ends there which is frustrating. There were a lot of unresolved issues by the end of the book. So, I will patiently wait for book #2.

HAVEN'T HEARD THE END OF A BOOK YET!!!!

If you’ve listened to books by H.M. Ward before, how does this one compare?

I love these books but haven't heard a complete story yet and it is getting old, the book can be great but if you never hear the end it leaves you frustrated so maybe the thing to do is wait another year or so and maybe these series will be finished.

Which scene was your favorite?

Any additional comments?

Can't Say I Loved It

Well it just ends and not in a good way. There are cliff hangers and then just endings that suck where they stop. The book was slow and predictable. I can't say I will continue to read about the Ferro family as all the other books are way over priced for a few hours of listening. Maybe when the entire story comes out in one book it will be worth the listen

I didnt think I could like the Ferros any more....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

but holy cow John Ferro....DAMN. first of all this was my first Ferro book that I've listened to and I'm not sure I can go back to just reading. It took a few chapters for me to get used to both readers voices but soon after I came to really enjoy it. I feel like the readers really cought the characters' emotions and attitudes perfectly. As always H.M Ward does not dissappoint with the story. So many things threw me for a loop and the damn book left me wanting more! I can not wait for the next in the Stripped series..as well as the next Arrangement book...and I love how they all twist together. This is a definite must buy!

What did you like best about this story?

The fact that after everything they had been through and all of their years apart John still loved her and was willing to givelup everything for his love.

Have you listened to any of Erin Mallon and Sebastian Fields ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Sexy, funny, intense, excruciatingly exquisite...

Where does STRIPPED rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Stripped was my first full audiobook.

What did you like best about this story?

This story is intense! Ward takes her time describing everything from character personnalities, locations, emotions, simple gestures such a kiss... this is her strength. The intense and important passages are not rushed, on the contrary, you are sitting on the edge of your seat, heart beating fast, anticipating what will happen next... and she let's us linger there... excruciatingly exquisite!!! To balance things out, there are always cute, funny, quirky passages that make you smile and LOL while reading. This book intertwines with other stories but if this is your first H.M. Ward book, you can read it as a stand alone since the characters and their back stories are described enough so that the first time reader isn't confused. However, if you intend on reading her other series, you may want to read them in the order they were published to avoid any spoilers.

What does Erin Mallon and Sebastian Fields bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sebastian Fields is amazing. His voice is sexy and he brings Jonathan Ferro to life with all the emotion & cockiness that goes along with it.Erin Mallon was only okay for me. Her voice is beautiful, her reading is impeccable and she puts emotion into her performance but I found her very breathy, overly exhaling at the end of every sentence. H.M. Ward's female characters usually have lots of sassiness (including Cassie Hale's character) but I couldn't detect that from Erin Mallon's reading.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I found myself blushing at certain times, during racier moments, especially when Sebastian Fields was narrating.

Any additional comments?

Although I really enjoyed my first audiobook experience, I found that I'm more easily distracted from the story while listening to a story than if my eyes are stuck to a page. Perhaps I'll try listening to it while reading at the same time to double the pleasure! It's kind of like the bonus features you'll find on a dvd... it's an added bonus to actually hear the characters.

Good

After starting this book, I realized there were others before it and though you can read this as a standalone, I prefer always reading sequentially.

The characters were interesting and had a definite connection, obvious with all that sexual tension heavy in the air. And while the story was good, one of my quirks is a dislike for books that use flashbacks throughout. It's too much back and forth though I understand why the author chose that method. In the end, it worked.

The book ends with everything up in the air, lots of unresolved issues to urge readers on to book 2.
