Critic reviews

"[T]he Lewises throw in some artful plot twists and adeptly avoid the trap of a fairy tale ending. The final choices made by Ryan and Melissa will satisfy Beverly Lewis's devoted readership, as will the salvation message that holds the story together." ( Publishers Weekly)

A different kind of story for Beverly Lewis.

The story was good. I wasn’t ready for it to end when it did. I wanted more. I didn’t understand how this story related to the first two books, The Postcard and The Crossroads. I enjoyed the book however.

Interesting, suspenseful, short

This was listed as book 3 when you look up the series “Amish Country Crossroads” both on Amazon and here on Audible. However, it is not listed as a buyable book when doing the search under the name of the series. Says “not available.” I found the book listed separately and bought it based on it being the 3rd in a trilogy. It has nothing at all to do with the first two books in the series and I believe is incorrectly listed and is a stand alone book. It had an incredible plot, more complicated than most “Amish” fiction. But was so short. I was disappointed that it ended so quickly. The writers were very skilled though and the narrator did a great job. Beverly Lewis is a talented author.

Totally disappointed with this book!

This is NOT an Amish story! Also, it is not even a well written story about crime. it does not tell of Biblical redemption through Jesus. Worst book I've read this decade. Not worth the money. Narrator did a terrible job . The accents were all wrong and further distracted from the story.
