About this listen

The Kage saga continues....

Michael Kage Santori has just inherited a thriving hotel and millions of dollars. He’s poised to become an MMA champion. Things couldn’t be better between him and his college boy lover, Jamie Atwood - especially in the bedroom, where Jamie is more than eager to let Kage take out his aggressions on him.

Kage seems to have it all, but success and happiness have come at a steep price. After all of the childhood trauma he endured at the hands of his controlling uncle, Peter Santori, it’s a miracle Kage has any shred of sanity left. And now, because of him, Jamie is a murderer.

More than anything, Kage wants to be good. He wants the be the kind of man who is worthy of Jamie’s love, but fate has other ideas. His uncle’s legacy has a stranglehold on him, and it keeps dragging him further and further down a rabbit hole from which there seems no escape. Worst of all...Kage knows he’s going to pull Jamie down right along with him, and he would rather die than let that happen.

ummm

I don't understand why the author doesn't know their own story. in the previous series the main character came out on National Television but apparently they did not end this story I don't know where the cognitive dissonance happens but the author should definitely remember their own story it's fairly irritating

secrets

I can't get enough of Kage and Jamie. But all this secrecy is killing me. And seeing this side of Santori is shocking and very intriguing. This books just raises more questions that I can't wait to get answered. I dont like the man Kage is becoming even though he thinks he has Jamie's best interest at heart. So we'll be see where this all ends.

So happy to be back in Kage and Jamie's world!

Oh my word. Even though I would have been quite happy for Kage and Jamie's story to have ended with the Kage trilogy, I'm excited that we get more of them!
I just adore Jamie and Kage, they are the best. But man, Kage frustrated me in this book. I don't like that he's keeping secrets from Jamie, especially when Jamie is right there in the middle of things! These two are just starting out their lives together and it made me sad that things are on shaky ground.
I did like learning about Peter and why/how he came to be the man he was, but I feel weird saying that! And it seems really wrong that I'm feeling sorry for him- I don't want to feel for this monster. But Ms. Black had me all up in my feelings.
I'm ready to dive right into the next book, to see what's in store for Kage, Jamie, and Peter.

One of the funniest scenes in these books had to have been Paul and the "present" he thought Kage brought him. I was listening at the gym and I couldn't hold my laughter in!

JF Harding is so perfect as Jamie and Kage- I love how he's given them both such distinct voices that fit so well with their characters. And then to throw Peter into the mix, as a younger man, I really can't get enough.

Uhhhh

Well, that took a turn.

Man, Maris Black sure knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat.

And JF Harding… holy h3LL — he takes his narration to a whole new level in this book. Hands down the best performance!

I can wait to see how the rest of this story unfolds. It’s going to be seriously epic.

Please don’t let Jamie and Kage end in a tragedy— I won’t be able to handle it !

Absolutely Enthralled

I absolutely LOVED the Kage trilogy and I'm so glad the stories of Jamie & Kage continue in this trilogy. This is VERY easily one of my favorite series ever and will be a permanent part of my collection!
JF Harding brings these characters to life and pulls the listener in with his soothing voice. A MUST HAVE!

Unbelievable

I'm really enjoying the continuation of Jamie and Kage's story and now with the added twist of an inside look into the world of the infamous Peter Santori, whom I completely despised in the 1st trilogy...
I'm speechless because the young Peter is not who we met back then. He actually reminds me of Jamie. 🤔 The plot thickens.
wow 🤯 I'm blown away.
On to the next book... And again, as with the 1st series, J.F. Harding does an outstanding job with the narration. Every character has his own voice.

Taking Over the Santori Empire

Santori has me really on edge because I'm sensing danger lurking around the corner for Kage and I have no idea where it'll come from. You don't take over a business like Peter Santori's and accrue enemies as a result. I do like that Kage and Jamie try to get back to some sense of normalcy after the events of Kage Unmasked. Although, I would have thought what Jamie did would have had him a little more shook that he actually was. What totally blew me away was Kage finding and reading Peter Santori's journals and see directly into his life and it has been amazing. J.F. Harding does a great job voicing a young and innocent Peter Santori. I loved those chapters. I can't wait to see what happens next.

In 2 Deep

These cliffhangers are going to break my bank because I can't wait on a credit. Jamie to me was a little annoying but I have a personal issue with clingy and pouty. Kage desire to keep all the drama to himself was getting on my nerves. Jamie is a man. Even if 21/22 is young. I'm too invested to quit. Now we have Peter's story that starts out with him as just a regular kid. Now I have to buy the next because I don't want to wait.

Santori Saga Sizzles on!

Santori is basically book 4 - a continuation of the Kage trilogy. If you want to feel a closer connection to Kage and Jamie I recommend reading the trilogy first but Maris Black is a talented writer - Santori could stand on it's own, but I bet you'll feel the compulsion to get the next book! Kage finding Peter's diary is a game changer...I can't believe how different he is at 18 then the man we come to know as Kage's uncle...now I have to find out how he turned to the dark side!. J.H. Harding is an amazing performer...🌶🌶🌶

5 stars - I would listen again
