Jeff Meldrum
About this listen
In this landmark work on a subject too often dismissed as paranormal or disreputable, Jeffrey Meldrum gives us the first book on Sasquatch to be written by a scientist with impeccable academic credentials. He gives an objective look at the facts in a field mined with hoaxes and sensationalism.
Meldrum reports on the work of a team of experts from a wide variety of fields who were assembled to examine the evidence for a large, yet undiscovered, North American primate. He reviews the long history of this mystery - which long predates the "Bigfoot" flap of the late 50s - and explains all the scientific pros and cons in a clear and accessible style.
Anyone who has pondered the mysteries of human evolution will be fascinated and eager to join Dr. Meldrum in drawing their own conclusion.

Countless reports from credible individuals suggest that something shocking may be stalking the woods of the southern United States—something massive, bipedal, and covered in hair. Tales of these Southern Sasquatch creatures—such as the one made famous by the 1972 horror movie The Legend of Boggy Creek—date back to the very origins of Deep South history and are reported even today.

The journals of resident Kate Holland, recovered from the town’s bloody wreckage, capture a tale too harrowing - and too earth-shattering in its implications - to be forgotten. In this audiobook, Max Brooks brings Kate’s extraordinary account to light for the first time, faithfully reproducing her words alongside his own extensive investigations into the massacre and the legendary beasts behind it.

The intelligence agencies and military services involved include CIA, DIA, NSA, DEA, the navy, air force, and army - and even the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Story
Is Atheism Dead? is an entertaining, impressively wide-ranging, and decidedly provocative answer to that famous 1966 Time cover that itself provocatively asked “Is God Dead?” In a voice that is by turns witty, muscular, and poetic, Metaxas intentionally echoes C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton in cheerfully and logically making his astonishing case, along the way presenting breathtaking - and often withering - new evidence and arguments against the idea of a Creatorless universe.

Story
From 1990 to 1995 Dr. Rick Strassman conducted U.S. Government-approved and funded clinical research at the University of New Mexico in which he injected 60 volunteers with DMT, one of the most powerful psychedelics known. His detailed account of those sessions is an extraordinarily riveting inquiry into the nature of the human mind and the therapeutic potential of psychedelics. DMT, a plant-derived chemical found in the psychedelic Amazon brew, ayahuasca, is also manufactured by the human brain. In Strassman's volunteers, it consistently produced near-death and mystical experiences.

Story
Inhumanoids are creatures or entities that have some type of human characteristic but are not human at all. Even though they sometimes appear as 'less than human,' they are quite beyond the normal sense of the word and possess a troubling array of supernatural powers to prove the point. Some are true 'bi-forms;' curious anthropomorphic mixtures of human and animals, while others manifest themselves in guises that one might pass by on the street and never give a second glance. From the smallest fairy to the tallest giant and every form in between, these inhumanoid beings, in all their myriad...

Story
When Samantha Moon is hired by a film crew to help hunt for the most elusive creature of them all, she’s pretty sure they have the wrong person. Turns out this is a super well-funded expedition, and the eccentric backer is sparing no expense, including hiring, among dozens of other specialists, a private investigator—someone trained to find the missing. And there is nothing more missing than Bigfoot. The logic almost makes sense to Sam, and the money is right. In the least, the vampire private eye is intrigued. After all, even among her fellow supernaturals, the creature known as ...

Story
Everyone, at some point, has experienced something they can't explain. Perhaps they've felt a presence or heard voices when alone, or maybe they've seen something in the woods that, in their mind, shouldn't exist. Imagine hiking along a favorite trail with your labrador when suddenly, an eight-foot-tall creature covered in dark hair steps onto the path before you. Your dog, usually fearless, cowers behind you, trembling. The creature notices you, turns, glowers, and charges. You have no way to defend yourself. You close your eyes and pray, fully aware that you'll be torn to shreds in an ...

Ben McKelvie believes he's moving up in the world when he and his fiancée buy a house in the cushy Washington, DC, suburb of Barcroft. In Dumb Luck and the Kindness of Strangers, Gierach looks back to the long-ago day when he bought his first resident fishing license in Colorado, where the fishing season never ends, and just knew he was in the right place. And he succinctly sums up part of the appeal of his sport when he writes that it is "[A]n acquired taste that reintroduces the chaos of uncertainty back into our well-regulated lives".

Based on more than 700 hypnotic-regression interviews with alien abductees and a Roper survey of 6,000 adults, The Threat reveals why the aliens are here and what they want, explains why their agenda has been kept secret, and exposes their frightening plans for earth and its inhabitants. In a direct, authoritative challenge to researchers who believe the abduction phenomenon is essentially benevolent and spiritually uplifting, Professor David M. Jacobs proves that there is a far more disturbing and potentially dangerous plan underway, with possible alien domination at its core.

An informative and relatively objective book
A thoughrogh discussion of evidence supporting the existence of Bigfoot. Written by an articulate scientist who's had his own experiences.

Not for the straight up layman
But if you have some medical or biology in your background, it’s very interesting. There’s way more evidence than i thought. He’s convinced me to keep an open mind.

Compelling approachable scientific analysis
Dr. Jeff Meldrum wrote a compelling book of scientific evidence analyzed against other scientific information about primates that we have studied in the natural world. It was well written and kept my interest. His data presentation and analysis were easily understood and relatable, so don't shy away from the scientific approach of this book. The book does an excellent job of tying together the lore of sasquatch, culture of skepticism, and scientific examination of the subject. Great read and I highly recommend it!

one of the better scientific explanations of Bigfoot
I am not a scientific guy but I can follow along with what he's explaining on Bigfoot and Bigfoot research and evidence. so I think it's cool that he breaks it down with a common person could understand why he as a scientist and what other scientists have said. I thought it was a wonderful book to listen to.

Informative
If you are looking for information on sasquatch, this is your book. Dr. Meldrum seems to have covered every possible angle on sasquatch leaving you feeling as though all we are missing is a body or body parts. Which is all we are missing. Very interesting book. Thanks!!
