Publisher's summary

Dual narration by the amazing Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke.

He's a notorious crime lord - and he’s on the hunt for her.

He’s mafia royalty. Worlds above her. Ice-cold and merciless. Driven by duty and dark secrets.

She’s property. Expected to submit. Imprisoned by ruthless criminals determined to break her for information she can’t afford to give.

Except there’s something different about Maxheim Skolov. Something that awakens long-buried instincts within Tess and draws her toward the man inside the beast.

A force more dangerous than anything she’s faced to date.

So, she runs.

But she won’t get far.

For mafia prince Maxheim Skolov, hunting down the rebellious, spirited female is a certainty. He’ll do whatever it takes to have her kneeling at his feet once more, even begin a galactic war.

The real question is what he’ll do with her - and to her - when he catches her.

Savage Prince: A Dark Mafia Omegaverse Fated-Mates Romance is the second book in the Ruthless Warlords series. It is a scorching-hot stand-alone, though it is recommenced to listen to the series in order for greatest enjoyment.

Like all the books in the series, it includes:

  • A ruthless alien mafia boss
  • An innocent heroine growing into her power
  • A fated bond
  • Plenty of hot omegaverse action
  • Betrayal, murder, and revenge
  • Serious plot twists
  • And an epic romance that proves love will always triumph over hate.

Book one in the series is Ruthless King: A Dark Mafia Omegaverse Fated-Mates Romance.

Forbidden Flame: A Dark Mafia Omegaverse Fated-Mates Romance is a stand-alone novella in the same world.

So much Heat 🔥🔥🔥

This was my first Alison Aimes book but is the second in the Ruthless Warlords series. I was able to catch up but there is so much information on the politics and hierarchical structure of this world that I assume was discussed in book 1 that it may have served me better to start there. That being said, once I understood the groundwork and the players involved, I had no issues following along. This is quite an extensive world and I would love to know more about the different tiers of this society.

It doesn't take long for Tess and Maxheim to meet but it's under less than ideal circumstances and the attraction is certainly strong between them. I enjoyed their relationship journey and how even though they were drawn to each other, their power dynamics and trust issues made them more interesting as characters and served the story well. They struggle and disagree on what needs to be done to achieve their goals as truths are exposed and trusted allies are revealed to have nefarious intents.

I loved the relationships that developed with Tess and Maxheim's family, and how quickly they accepted her after seeing her positive impact on him. I did feel that the wrap up after the final action scene was more exposition that I would have liked. I would have preferred to be in the discussions and conclusions instead of hearing about them after the fact, but understand that other readers may have taken issue with the opposite as it would slow down the story ending.

This story brings a lot of heat and steamy moments thanks to Tess's gift and her connection with Maxheim. There is a nice range of heavily detailed smex scenes to quickie top view moments of lust🔥❤️🔥. I was very happy with the balance in this story as even during the 'in between' we can still feel the tension that engulfs T&M. I also really like how Tess's gift evolves over the story and would like to see how it changes over the rest of the series. She is a very powerful character and I love how she brings a different, lighter side to this crime lord family.

I love duet style and both Stella and Jason did a great job on this. Stella is great at making us feel Tessa's uncertainty and doubt, really bringing the emotions out in her performance. Jason does a great job with the huge amount of characters and seemingly effortlessly flipping between all of them. He has an amazing range in his toolbox of voices.

4/5 story, 4/5 narration

sci-fi Omegaverse romance!

Savage Prince is a combination sci-fi, paranormal mafia romance and maybe even bit of a space opera feel to it.

Maxheim is a mafia prince out searching for clues on where his kidnapped twin siblings are and stumbles on his fated mate, Tessa, an omega slave.

She has these special gifts that are being used to kill members of the Brotherhood, but there's something else going on behind the scenes here. I don't want to give away too much, but all these characters are intertwined in eachother past and future.

Tessa and Max have a very uneasy start to their relationship, but they certainly don't lack for attraction and hot and steamy encounters while on the run in this action packed book.

I enjoyed this story and the concept was really intriguing, but I do wish there was more world building and description of what the author has created.
I did appreciate that even though this was book 2, I had no problem at all understanding the background of Max and his family and why he is the way he is.
Overall I would say if you enjoy sci-fi romance with a mafia twist , you will enjoy this book! The last 20% of the book really had the most action, plot twists and made me want the next book. She did a fabulous job hooking the reader on Alexi's story which is the next book.

Dark Exciting Romantic Suspense!

What a ride! This series is dark Sci-Fi romance at it’s finest! Ruthless Warlords is my first foray into the Omegaverse, a brutal Alpha-driven world where warring factions clash constantly and dominant Alpha families form alliances and jockey for control. Maxheim is the second oldest Skolov and fiercely protective of his family. He is a planner with contingencies for every situation and keeps his emotions and desires in check at all times. When he finds Tess in a perilous situation his carefully planned mission is turned upside down by an overwhelming instinct to dominate, protect, and consume every part of her. Tess is a slave who knows only a brutal existence of being forced to use her dark gift. Everyone wants a piece of her. She finds trust difficult. Maxheim awakens deep desires in her to surrender, to submit. She fears submission, but finds her true power is in letting go for the right Alpha. Maxheim finds his true power in trusting as a true partner. I loved the power exchange. This is dark mafia romance with an omegaverse twist, so buckle up!

Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke are both fantastic performers, so working together in duet they really bring all of the characters to life so you can really experience this rollercoaster experience! I can’t wait for the next book!!

I received an #AdvancedListenerCopy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

The Prince

I had enjoyed book 1 so much that I quickly bought book 2. This book was decent, had different kinds of action but I liked it slightly less. The narrators were phenomenal. The H was a bit too much, maybe too protective. I didn’t see him that way in book 1. Nevertheless, I would recommend book 2.

Spicy Hot Omegaverse delicousness!

Holy hells, cold shower needed! Hours and hours of hot steamy spice between those bedsheets. Again, I was totally hooked from start to finish.

Maxheim Soklov is known to be even colder and more ruthless than his brother Nikolai. Still searching for their kidnapped twin siblings, Maxheim and his brothers are stumbling upon an Omega auction that seems to leave a trail of dead alphas. Tesstala, an omega sl@ve with a gift she has no control over, is rescued by Maxheim, who once in close proximity is overcome with an animalistic need to claim her. Tess doesn´t trust easy and is not used to kindness, so she has a difficult time adjusting to the new normal still wanting to save her friends from an evil alpha. She soon realises with Maxheims help that not everything is what it seems and that something is not right with their fated mate bond!

Duet Narration is just awesome! Stella Hunter & Jason Clarke are giving us loads of eargasms with their performances. It is such a treat to listen to them bringing all the intense passion, emotions and feelings of this Alpha/Omega duo plus all the different side characters to life. Jason just gives the best growls and has this demand in his voice that you just want to obey while listening. Stella´s voice has something soothing and calming. Be it submissive Tess with her softer tones or stubborn Tess with her fiercer, more determined tones, Stella interprets it flawlessly.

I am in love with Alison Aimes crude and hot as sin writing since Ruthless King. Well, she did not disappoint in writing this story. There is plenty of delicious dirty talk, hot chemistry, scorching steam, suspenseful mystery, smoochy swoon and some unexpected twists. Whereas this listen is more than steamy we also get quite the suspenseful story and witness Maxheim & Tess´s growing attraction, trust and love for one another. Alison´s description of this whole Omegaverse is vivid, captivating, engaging and SUPER HOT! Want a bit of spice in your ears? This will give you aural pleasure!

Savage and Steamy

Aimes will have you wrapped up with all the twists and turns in this story. The heat level in this Alpha Omega story is intense, you might need to cool off before you dive in for more.

If you want to take this story to the next level, grab the audio version. Stella and Jason bring the characters and story to life in a way that have them off the page and taking up residence in your head. You will love all the growls from Jason and the sweet and sultry way Stella delivers every line.

Charge up your headphones, grab a glass of wine and indulge in this sinfully steamy story.

Good alien romance omegaverse story with duet narration!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💚💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌍
Character development: 😊😅🤨🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Duet Narration

The Hero: Maxheim Skolov - he was born an alpha male in the Anarcheim Alphaverse. Maxheim is brother to Nikolai Skolov, the head alpha boss of the Skolov clan in the Brotherhood syndicate. At the end of the last book, they all found out that their twin siblings whom they thought were killed in a fire when they were babies, were instead stolen and are probably still alive. They also found that some unknown alpha was behind a failed coup attempt on the Brotherhood.

The heroine: Tess - she was born an omega and grew up as a slave. She and her best friend Rav lived on the streets, the forgotten. They were born of alpha males without a house name. After they were caught, Tess was drugged in an attempt to bring out her gift to demand a higher price. Her friend Rav later turned out to be the same silver skinned man who took the Skolov twins years ago.

The Story: Maxheim was always the dependable right-hand man to his older brother Nikolai, he was the fixer of the family. Though recently he has been a bit scattered. He had been trying to track down the silver skinned man who took their twin siblings over fifteen years ago and who was working for the man behind the coup attempt on the Brotherhood. When Dahlia had a vision of Tess and Rav as children, Maxheim immediately showed signs of being fated mates with Tess.

I liked Maxheim, he was complicated and brutal. He had a former relationship with an omega who was killed and though he wasn’t in love with her, he felt guilty for her death since it was by a gang that did it to get back at the Skolov family. Also, he just committed to a deal with a rival family from the Brotherhood in which he would make one of their daughters his prime omega. He didn’t want to find Tess, though he did find her at a rowdy slave auction.

Tess was a slave, sold at auction over and over by her owner, for short amounts of time. She still had her gift, and it was a doozy. For every bit of pain an alpha caused her, the alpha got unimaginable bliss, but the bliss was short lived, and they ended up paying the price with their lives. She wanted nothing more than to save the young omegas and Rav who were also owned by Aldar, the same man that owns her.

The story was really good, and I liked both characters. I saw quite a few reviews where the reviewers didn’t really like Tess, but I thought she was interesting and genuine. Like the first book, this one was super steamy, though after listening to the two audiobooks in a row, it was a bit too much for me. I ended up fast forwarding through many of the intimate scenes. I wanted more story and less smut.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via duet narration and was narrated by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter. They are two of my favorite narrators. Jason has a deep gravelly voice which is perfect for a mafia boss, and he is fantastic at dirty talk, which I love. Stella has a soft but clear voice which is very pleasant, and she she is great at showing emotion through her voice.

🌻I’m enjoying this series!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I’ve been enjoying this series more than I thought I would. There is a recurring theme, during the development of the H and h’s relationship, but there is enough variation that I haven’t been bored.

Each book does have violence but, it’s not overly descriptive. The sexual interactions are descriptive and there are D/s elements; which is expected in an Alpha Omega relationship. If intense, descriptive and dirty love scenes bother you, find a different listen.

I think what appeals to me, the most, is the dynamics between the four brothers. They are quite hilarious and I can’t wait for the next brother to be shot by cupids arrow!
