About this listen

Asher Henderson. Captain of the Highnam Academy football team, and the bane of my existence.

As Alstone High’s team captain, I’ve been pitted against him from the beginning, but our conflict isn’t only reserved for the pitch. Everyone knows we’re enemies. From our first encounter, our rivalry has been escalating, spiraling out of control. Until one night when everything between us changed.

He pushed me too far, and we crossed a line that should never have been crossed. Now, I can’t get him out of my head. Can we ever be more than rivals, or are there too many obstacles in our way? One thing I know for sure. Things between us will never be the same again.

Savage Rivals is a stand-alone M/M new adult high school romance with enemies-to-lovers and gay-awakening themes. This audiobook contains mature situations and content.

Note: Originally included in the Brutal Boys on Devils Night collection, this edition of Savage Rivals has been expanded with additional content.

Great Narration, Sweet ending

Loved the characters, the narration, the tension. my only complaint was that once they got together everything wrapped up a bit too quickly. I wished it were maybe just an hour longer with a bit more devolpment. Still a great listen.

LOVED THIS

I’ve never read an E2L story quite like this. I loved it. I’d definitely listen again. It was very entertaining and kept me interested from beginning to end. I was even satisfied with the epilogue. Sometimes I feel like I’m missing some of the story but I feel like this was completely flushed out and I got everything I needed to be completely satisfied.

Emotional and Beautiful

I've only recently begun to listen to M/M romances and wow! This one absolutely blew me away. Will Watt and James Joseph delivered some of the most gut wrenching performances I've ever heard in ANY romance novel. I'm a big fan of the bully/tortured past trope and love the edginess. So, if you're a fan of Rina Kent, L. Steele, etc. this one is definitely for you!

Hot Rivals!

This m/m bully romance/enemies to lovers was off the charts hot! The tension and heat from Asher and Levi was endlessly entertaining and so sexy. This book perfectly showcased how that hot anger can turn to fierce passion! Can’t wait to read and listen to more from Becca!

The narrators were amazing! The duet style is perfect!

I need you to hate me, Ten.

OMG. I got soooo many chills reading this!! I don't know how I'm ever going to move on from these two. The accents were SO yummy. The tension, the sex, just everything. Also, I LOVE the fact that they are a switch couple!

" I didn't know it would be like this..."

This was delicious 🔥. And the narrators made it even hotter. those accents phew! An angsty, enemies to lovers NA romance at it's finest. It starts off as obsession. Then we get a few viscous hookups, which make way towards Levi and Asher's acceptance that maybe, just maybe they don't hate each other completely. I loved getting the small glimpses of vulnerability from each of them. Levi and Asher put on such a tough front to the world, that sometimes you forget that even tough guys need a moment to be comforted.

The other major issue is that it's not just Levi and Asher who need to accept themselves as a couple. Once they jump that huge hurdle, they need to worry about everyone else. Their schools are major rivals, their teams locked into brutal battle of back and forth pranks. This is complicated even further by the fact that each of them led the charge when it comes to the rivalry and it's only a matter of time before things go south after the last one.

"I'd lit the match, fanned the flames, and even though I'd stepped back, I was now having to watch it burn."

The ending of this one was a touch unexpected. I didn't think we'd be given an epilogue so far into the future. It was a pleasant surprise, because as I've said a million times, those are my absolute favorite type of epilogues. It made me love the couple even more and in turn solidified my rating of 5 stars.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book!!

This was the first book by Becca Steele that I have read/listen to. I absolutely loved the chemistry between the two main characters. There was a very animalistic vibe in their attraction towards each other,… the fine line between love and hate, and all that. I think it made the book for sure. The narrators also did a stellar job. You can never go wrong with James Joseph and Will Watt was also east on the ears.

Savage boys

These rival schools/football (soccer) teams really are savage with each other!

Asher and Levi a caught somewhere in the mix of lust and hate as they battle it off and on the field. High school boys can be absolutely brutal and can hold a grudge. Yet the sexual tension between these is stronger than hating each other, and all too soon their hard edges start to soften. I enjoyed the progression of their relationship.

If you love enemies/rivals to lovers then you can’t go wrong with this.
