Publisher's summary

In-depth, slow burn love story.

When a biker with a tortured past meets a mysterious woman in a dangerous situation, she becomes a light in his dark life that he'll do anything to keep. But she has a dark past of her own. One that is creeping ever closer, threatening to extinguish that light forever....

This is the story of Dean and Vanna. Two star-crossed lovers who come to realize that they need each other to survive, in more ways than one.

Dean Keegan is a vigilante biker with a tortured past who makes abusers of women and children pay for their crimes against the innocent. The story begins with Dean at rock bottom, on the verge of giving up after having lost his marriage and about to be thrown out of his club. His personal life is a wreck, but then Dean meets a unique woman named Vanna, who is, unbeknownst to him, in hiding from her ex-fiance cop currently doing time for nearly killing her years prior. They both have emotional scars and inner demons they're dealing with, that effect their lives and especially their budding relationship.

This is an in-depth slow burn love story between two damaged characters that takes place in a small country town in a fictionalized region of the Carolinas. Please refer to the listing on Amazon for content warnings.

❤️‍🔥Dean & Vanna are alive! 10 stars if I could!❤

I loved the book, and so the Audiobook was a must have for me. The narrator's are perfect for these characters. They felt like real living people when I read it. Hearing their voices now. just wow. Perfect. The story is heart wrenching, hilarious, and gripping from beginning to end. Both main characters are unique. Actually, they're all pretty unique. Dean is anti-Hero type who's been through so much. We start with his POV story where he's basically at rock bottom, then he falls for a woman that's hiding from her crazy ex. She's got her own type of beliefs that play into their push and pull, but their chemistry is off the charts. The spicy scenes are straight fire. It is a slow burn. I love that nothing felt rushed. It's angsty but heartfelt, Very in depth, plot and foreshadowing. Dean and Vanna's main issues are wrapped up in a happily ever after for now type ending, but there is a cliffhanger that revolves around the subplot that will carry into book 2, which I cannot wait for! I'm obsessed with Dean and Vannas story and can't wait to read how their love story continues. This is a romance I see myself coming back to again and again. If you want MC Romance, but want something a little different, this is the book. I'd recommend it to anybody. TW for domestic abuse situations adult content and violence.

I NEED BOOK TWO NOW!!!

Best Book I've read in a LONG time! 5 stars isn't enough!

Character development and DEPTH unlike anything I've read in other MC romance books. The story line pulls you in from the first page, to the last page, this book was impossible to stop listening to. And when I had to ,I couldn't wait to put my headphones on again. These characters will stay with you even after you finish the book, and I cannot wait for book two to continue this journey. I love Dean & Vanna. And all of the secondary characters as well. Believable plot, sizzling romance scenes, angsty desire, action, suspense, some thriller type situations. It had EVERYTHING I WANTED!!! I laughed out loud, I cried, I got angry! The actors who narrated these characters were AMAZING, very talented and so convincing that it all sounded so real, real, definitely pull you in. This dark love story deserves more than five stars. I can see myself listening to this book again and again. I've found a new favorite author and I'm excited for more books in this series! Give it a read, you're missing out if you don't!

Amazing!

I listened to this because I loved MC romances and anything to do with witches or Wicca. I had no idea I'd love it as much as I did. This story has an amazing, angsty, slow burn. There was never a dull moment. And the writing is chef's kiss! Narration was excellent. I loved PJs gravely tone for Dean. And Paige was a perfect Vanna. Don't miss out on this series.

Much too Long

I was trying to wait until this was over before I left a review, but seeing as how I still have 17 hours left to go, I thought I'd give my two cents early, so potential readers know what they're getting into before they use a credit.

First of all, I'm not completely sure why this book has so many rave reviews. I mean, it's good and all, but I wouldn't say it's spectacular. In the description it states, "in-depth" love story, but I am pretty sure that was a nice way of saying it drags on and on. I'm all for realism, and I get what the author was trying to do, but in my opinion, we read books to ESCAPE reality. It's okay to cut a few corners here and there to keep the story moving along. The trail of bread crumbs has lasted 18 hours now, and I still have another 17 hours to go! I attempted this mountain of a book because of all the great reviews, which is precisely why I'm not waiting until the end to leave mine.

As for the narrators, they aren't my favorites by a long shot, but to give credit where credit is due, I will say that the transition between different characters is done very well, so there's that.

*Spoiler Alert* Now for the meat of this review... this is about two broken people coming together to complete one another. I understand the concept, and it has great potential for an epic love story. However, I do have some issues with the heroine in this story. First of all, it grates my nerves how wishy-washy she is. She is so hot and cold, I can't believe this guy hasn't kicked her to the curb by now just because of how she toys with him... over and over and over again.

Second of all, this poor guy has given her EVERYTHING. He is so sweet with her, generous & giving, caring, protective, patient, and respectful. Yet, when she hears something bad about him from other people that she barely knows, she runs... again. She takes their word for truth without even so much as ASKING him about it.... the man she has spent months getting to know and who she is supposedly falling in love with. Oh, and did I mention that one of the people running their mouths is his jilted, selfish ex, and the other one is a jealous wannabe who is salty because he turned her down? Come on... who would take their word over his??? So far-fetched and unbelievable.

Finally, I get that she has a past. We all do. But in her case, it's an abusive ex who almost killed her. Why is she so desperately trying to hide that from the man she loves when she did absolutely nothing wrong, and he could potentially be in danger. She wants to know all her man's dirt, but when it comes to hers, she's closed off and tight-lipped. Not fair. Dean is soooo patient and loving toward her... If you don't want him, stupid girl, there is a whole line of us willing to take him off your hands!!

As I said, I am only halfway through this book, but since I'm so invested, I will push through to the finish. After all this torture, I deserve to get to the happily ever after. I give the narration four stars, but the story itself is only getting three... and those three are for the story's concept... not the telling of it.

Just Keeps Getting Better and Better

Savior, by Jennifer Saviano, is a great book. I see it destined to be a best seller. The characters are as real as you and me. They grip one and do not let go. You will find yourself thinking of this book from time to time after reading it.

Now we finally have the audio version. The narrators, P. J. and Paige, have performed masterfully through their expertise with voice acting. Think how hard that is. To master the nuances and subtleties of sound to create life in these great drawn out characters.

Buy the.audio. Buy the print. Buy the ebook. Savior is one of the deepest, thrilling, raw, and Romantic stories one could ever hope for.

And pay attention to what is not directly shown. Ask yourself why the author did this scene this way. Your eyes will open and you will see the unspoken of the characters ( example: Dean first telling Cherry it will kill him if Vanna leaves him. Then next Dean scene with Vanna he has gone above and beyond what he promised her he would do in getting her car up to par. Combine the two scenes and what do you see about Dean.)This book is filled with depth. Enjoy.

Aces Baby!!

Audiobook review: Narrated by Paige Reisenfeld and PJ Freebourn

Aces Baby!

Oh my heart! I absolutely loved this story and cannot wait to dive into book two. This is the definition of an angsty slow burn but when we get an MMC so wholeheartedly devoted to a woman who has him friend zoned, it’s so worth the wait!! I love how the author brings us on what feels like an epic journey and involves us in the relationship drama from the start. Dean, who has a history of being wronged in the worst way, finally finds someone he is drawn to. The problem is, Vanna doesn’t believe it to be for the right reasons. Vanna herself is on the run and the drama with her ex keeps the suspense turned up to a hundred. There is so much going on in this story it will keep you mesmerized from beginning to end.

These narrators are amazing!! PJ Freebourn has such an amazing rasp to his voice that makes him so believable as an alpha protector MMC. He acted this part so well I was equally impressed with his toughness and his vulnerability. Paige Reisenfeld has the most beautiful voice and it was no hardship at all listening to her speak for hours at a time, which is a great thing when you’re listening to a book that is so hard to turn off. I’m so glad I listened to this on audio and can’t wait to continue with the next book!
