Narrators ruin it

The narrators are very distracting and have a strange cadence. For me it makes listening to these very I enjoyable. That being said, my six year old loves them!! Not too scary but spooky enough.

The narrator for at least the first few stories made them dull

She spoke in something of a monotone and sounded more like the TikTok voiceover, taking a lot away from the story.

For little kids

My son's and I listened to the first three stories before turning it off. my boys are 8 and 11. the first story about the Easter bunny was okay. It was narrated decently and had a kind of creepy ending. The next two had insufferable narration. the product page and the audio book itself claims these stories are for children and teens. If that's the case, why is the narrator speaking as if they are telling the story to a three year old? It was slow and too cheery sounding for a ghost story. Even the prefaces, explaining the stories ahead of time, felt like it ruined it a bit. My boys got bored and could not get into the second and third stories because they were so slow. I can't possibly see teens enjoying this.

If you're looking for spooky stories for older kids and teens look elsewhere. The stories themselves are okay, but in my opinion the narration ruins them as being anything spooky or scary.

Too immature

I purchased this title because the book was supposed to be for teens. It wasn’t. I have a 11 & 12 yr old and we planned to listen to the stories on a long trip. They mocked the reader as childish. Good story for younger children or not well read kiddos. Definitely not for 11 and up.

The inflections were super distracting

I think it was really hard to listen to the story because of the narrator. The inflections in the second and third stories were especially annoying-listening to just one sentence was super distracting. It’s too cutesy and babyish especially for a scary story. I’m not sure why there’s a synopsis at the beginning?! Or a disclaimer either. Like let’s start the story??? The way you start it is by saying the title and then…starting. My daughter was bored by the intros but liked the stories, so I guess it works out though.

The narrator is beyond weird. Not in a good way. Avoid at all costs. This is a terrible audio book.

Awesome Scary Stories Audiobook

Once of the best spooky stories on audible. All stories are scary but doesn't include excessive violence. All stories ends with a moral, which is great for kids. Not only for kids, this book is good for teens and also for adults.

The lackluster voice.

Very unenthusiastic. Not engaging.
My children were incredibly bored.
Sad, unimaginative.
I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Spooky entertainment

I was not sure if I was going to like it at first. Really like the Rabbitman Easter Nightmare story and the science freakshow. Actually, I am impressed with mysteriousness in all of the seven short stories. Very well written and narrated. Fitting Background musics makes it great. Also enjoyed the Bonus story attached with this book and hoping to try all other books from this publisher. They have a wide variety of books. Keep Up The Good Work guys!
