I almost gave up but the stories improve as you continue your listen. I preferred the second half more.

stories are as always good. Having patton oswalt narrate the first book was a mistake, he just isn't a good listen and was a poor choice for the material.

Loved it. It's easier to feed and listen to a book as of late lol. My 7 month loves listening to me read him scary stories and this was the only one I didn't have the complete collection of and it was easier to set my phone up to have him listen lol he really enjoyed this book series.

These books were my bible back when I was young. It was very enjoyable revisiting these classic tales as an adult.

This is not the original version with the rich sepulchral tones. And the spoken instructions of the jump scare stories in the first section are enough totake listeners out of the stary.

Recommend for the additional stories missing in the other collection, and nothing more.
