About this listen
Scientific Creationism delivers a meticulously researched, scientific investigation of the most important aspects of the creation-evolution question. Dr. Henry Morris along with the Institute for Creation Science researchers and consultants allow science to speak for itself without referencing the Bible or other religious literature in this undeniable study of origins. Within their thorough exploration, you will find irrefutable evidence that supports creationism rather than evolutionism.
Morris and team write to scientists and non-scientists alike revealing how each new scientific discovery or analysis weakens the traditional case for evolution and strengthens the case for creation. Scientific Creationism gives equal consideration to both scientific philosophies and offers more scientific reasoning and logical interpretation than most educational textbooks used in today's high school and college classes.
Explore the evidence. Study the scientific flaws of Darwin's theory through the eyes of Dr. Henry Morris and the brilliant scientists of the Institute for Creation Research. Could evolutionary thinking be founded on anticipated evidence? Scientific Creationism separates fact from theory so you can evaluate the creation and evolution models within the context of established physical laws.

Story
In 1987 Ken Ham wrote what would become a prophetic warning to the Church about the destructive effects of compromise with evolutionary ideas, and how this compromise undermines Scriptural authority and erodes Christian confidence in the infallibility of God's Word. Today we have Christians not only confused when it comes to Genesis and age of the earth, but even the reality of Hell, Adam as a real person, and Christ's own words about creation, marriage and more are being debated in the pulpits across the world.

Story
Has Satan successfully led most Christians to give more credibility to the institution of science than the Bible? Today many Christians regard evolution as nothing more than God's method of creation. In this Christian apologetic resource, Morris boldly challenges this anti-biblical and even anti-theistic philosophy; an imagination or high thing exalting itself against the true knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5). Dr. Henry Morris presents the theory of evolution as one of Satan's most devastating attacks against the Church.

Story
Far from being an engaging fable, the account of Job in the Bible is one of the most historically and scientifically accurate records of the ancient world. Perhaps the oldest book in the Bible, the Book of Job touches on many subjects of science and history. This commentary on the controversial Book of Job is very different from most of the seminary and church teachings so prevalent today, for it attests to the historicity of a man named Job who understood at the end of his life that God cannot be "figured out", but He can most certainly be trusted.

As Adolf Hitler and the Nazis seduced a nation, bullied a continent, and attempted to exterminate the Jews of Europe, a small number of dissidents and saboteurs worked to dismantle the Third Reich from the inside. One of these was Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a pastor and author. In this New York Times bestselling biography, Eric Metaxas takes both strands of Bonhoeffer's life—the theologian and the spy—and draws them together to tell a searing story of incredible moral courage in the face of monstrous evil.

This explanation of the Book of Genesis, the first book of the Bible, demonstrates clearly and powerfully that the opposite is true. The Bible remains profoundly relevant - both to the great issues of our day and to each individual life. It is the greatest moral guide and source of wisdom ever written.

When Charles Darwin finished The Origin of Species, he thought that he had explained every clue but one. Though his theory could explain many facts, Darwin knew that there was a significant event in the history of life that his theory did not explain. During this event, the "Cambrian explosion", many animals suddenly appeared in the fossil record without apparent ancestors in earlier layers of rock. In Darwin's Doubt, Stephen C. Meyer tells the story of the mystery surrounding this explosion of animal life.

The information age has begotten turmoil. It seems that the more information we have, the less peace the average person has. To many, an impression has developed that modern science has disproved the existence of the immaterial realm, and doomed us to a sterile, pointless wandering in the wilderness of minutiae. During roughly the same time this impression has been developing in popular culture, however, massive evidence to the contrary has been steadily erupting from the sciences!

Dawkins sifts through rich layers of scientific evidence: from living examples of natural selection to clues in the fossil record; from natural clocks that mark the vast epochs wherein evolution ran its course to the intricacies of developing embryos; from plate tectonics to molecular genetics.

Story
Darwin's theory of evolution is accepted by most educated Americans as simple fact. This easy acceptance, however, hides from us the many ways in which evolution - as an idea - shapes our thinking about a great many things. What if this idea is wrong? What if "evolution" is just a word that covers up scientific ignorance of how the wonders of the living world could have been created? Berkeley law professor Phillip Johnson looks at the evidence for Darwinistic evolution the way a lawyer would - with a cold dispassionate eye for logic and proof.

Living things are hugely complex and have unique properties, such as self-maintenance and apparently purposeful behaviour which we do not see in inert matter. So how does chemistry give rise to biology?

Nobel Laureate Eugene Wigner once wondered about "the unreasonable effectiveness of mathematics" in the formulation of the laws of nature. Is God a Mathematician? investigates why mathematics is as powerful as it is. From ancient times to the present, scientists and philosophers have marveled at how such a seemingly abstract discipline could so perfectly explain the natural world. More than that - mathematics has often made predictions, for example, about subatomic particles or cosmic phenomena that were unknown at the time, but later were proven to be true.

This audiobook is a long-awaited major statement by a pre-eminent analytic philosopher, Alvin Plantinga, on one of our biggest debates - the compatibility of science and religion. The last twenty years has seen a cottage industry of books on this divide, but with little consensus emerging. Plantinga, as a top philosopher but also a proponent of the rationality of religious belief, has a unique contribution to make. His theme in this short book is that the conflict between science and theistic religion is actually superficial, and that at a deeper level they are in concord.

A good book may have the power to change the way we see the world, but a great book actually becomes part of our daily consciousness, pervading our thinking to the point that we take it for granted, and we forget how provocative and challenging its ideas once were - and still are. The Structure of Scientific Revolutions is that kind of book.

In this fascinating and illuminating work, Leonard Mlodinow guides us through the critical eras and events in the development of science, all of which, he demonstrates, were propelled forward by humankind's collective struggle to know. From the birth of reasoning and culture to the formation of the studies of physics, chemistry, biology, and modern-day quantum physics, we come to see that much of our progress can be attributed to simple questions - why? how? - bravely asked.

Throughout history, thinkers from mathematicians to theologians have pondered the mysterious relationship between numbers and the nature of reality. In this fascinating book, Mario Livio tells the tale of a number at the heart of that mystery: phi, or 1.6180339887.... This curious mathematical relationship, widely known as "The Golden Ratio", was discovered by Euclid more than 2,000 years ago. Since then it has shown a propensity to appear in the most astonishing variety of places.

Militant atheism is on the rise. In recent years, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Daniel Dennett, and Christopher Hitchens have produced a steady stream of best-selling books denigrating religious belief. These authors are merely the leading edge of a larger movement that includes much of the scientific community. In response, mathematician David Berlinski, himself a secular Jew, delivers a biting defense of religious thought.

Today it is common knowledge that the dinosaurs were wiped out by a meteorite impact 65 million years ago that killed half of all species then living. It is far less widely understood that a much greater catastrophe took place at the end of the Permian period 251 million years ago: at least 90 percent of life on earth was destroyed. When Life Nearly Died documents not only what happened during this gigantic mass extinction, but also the recent renewal of the idea of catastrophism.

Story
The Blind Watchmaker, knowledgably narrated by author Richard Dawkins, is as prescient and timely a book as ever. The watchmaker belongs to the 18th-century theologian William Paley, who argued that just as a watch is too complicated and functional to have sprung into existence by accident, so too must all living things, with their far greater complexity, be purposefully designed. Charles Darwin's brilliant discovery challenged the creationist arguments; but only Richard Dawkins could have written this elegant riposte.

It has a lot of scientific jargon, so if you're not somewhat well versed it feels a little overwhelming at first. But stick with it and finish it out. Trust me it's well worth it and will arm you as a Christian with some important lessons and facts when these discussions come up.

A very interesting read, very technical.
I really enjoyed this book, it is well written and well narrated. In this book the author makes a very strong argument that based on the narrative alone, creationism and evolution cannot stand together. the creation story completely contradicts the evolution story.
Scientific Creationism rightly points out that neither evolution nor creationism can be proven or be considered science. Neither can be considered science simply due to the fact that neither can be observed and neither can be experimented on. Which is the right lens to view any theory through, any theory is only theory unless an experiment can prove the validity of the theory.
The author makes references to many studies, research papers, and scientific findings to make the argument for a young earth. The examples stated by the author seem to provide compelling evidence for the theory.
The amount of information contained in the book is staggering, much referring to the geologic column and the methods used for dating rocks and fossils. When I have more time, I intend to buy this book so that I can go through each claim and check it's veracity myself.

Compelling
Dr. Henry Morris shows in clear, mostly layman’s terms that the Bible narratives regarding origins are believable. Skillfully analyzing what secular, evolutionary scientists claim, and contrasting those stories with evidence that can truly be examined all around us, Dr. Morris’ take on origins is well worth considering. The scientific information in this book is compelling even though written a number of years ago. And his scriptural understanding is good.
