About this listen

  • Why Genesis remains critically important in presenting the Gospel
  • How the biblical account of Creation impacts your understanding of Scripture and worldview
  • Why evolution does not and cannot fit within the biblical timeline of history

In 1987 Ken Ham wrote what would become a prophetic warning to the Church about the destructive effects of compromise with evolutionary ideas, and how this compromise undermines Scriptural authority and erodes Christian confidence in the infallibility of God's Word. Today we have Christians not only confused when it comes to Genesis and age of the earth, but even the reality of Hell, Adam as a real person, and Christ's own words about creation, marriage and more are being debated in the pulpits across the world. In this special revised and updated edition, Ken Ham again takes the lead in pointing out the looming precipice the Church is rushing towards, how evolution and/or millions of years, is driving away young people of the faith, and the biblical solution that can change it!

I know the idea is repetition to sink into memory, but I felt like the book was 90% we need to teach this stuff, so "go to our website and find out what to teach" and 10% evidence. I felt like the book could have been at least 20% shorter.

Could have been condensed.

For those who question the Bible and Creationism, there's no better one to turn to than Ken Ham.

This early work by Hamm, updated recently, is a masterpiece of Christian Theology is a rare find in that I am confident that it is faithful to the Bible and leads believers like me to think much more deeply upon the foundation which God has clearly laid in the first 12 chapters of Genesis. It is my hope that others like me will benefit from this work and evangelize more confidently through the Spirit’s use of it to draw all who call upon the name of Jesus Christ to pursue a daily passion for God’s wonderful and inerrant Word.

Superb Work. A Christian classic.

Wonderfully written and timely. This book is light in the darkness and a warning ignored at your own peril. It is time for the Church to awaken and this is the call. So join us Christian soldiers and don the belt of truth!

I’m so grateful for the mission that Ken Ham has pursued. This book (and many others he’s written) are eye-opening.

How many people will trust the Scriptures to meet their own agenda. They have problems submitting full to God‘s authority.

What made the experience of listening to The Lie the most enjoyable?

It's easy to listen to a book when you are hearing Biblical truth. Ken Ham's books are a blessing to a generation who has lost Biblical truth. Hopefully, this will bless many and we will again begin to raise Godly children in this nation.

Who was your favorite character and why?

N/A - Joe did a great job narrating though!

Any additional comments?

good book, but repetitive. Talking about how the foundations of science are based on faith.

good but repetitive

I don't know why anybody would ever trust evolution. It's basically just nihilism. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

This book is amazing
