About this listen

Danger and passion collide in this exciting and sexy tale that demonstrates how well Ciana Stone can grab a reader and not let go until the final word is read." (Candid Book Reviews)

This book is part of the Hot in the Saddle Box Set

Cole had no trouble attracting women. The Russell men were all blessed physically, and Cole was no exception. However, finding a woman who could match his passion for the wilderness as well as ignite passions of a different kind in his life was the problem.

Scout Windrider knew that love wasn’t for her. She’d yet to encounter a man who took her breath away and figured it was just as well. What man would want to hook up with a woman who spent most of her life in the wild, tracking mountain lions?

Neither of them could have foreseen being paired in a no-kill hunt turned deadly would force them to confront an explosive attraction hot enough to consume them with its heat. Faced with a murderous madman intent on exacting revenge against the Windrider family, Scout and Cole take a leap of faith with each other and discover something relegated to myth and legend proves to be true, that will touch their lives in a way that will change them forever.

Same as all the other fantabulous books by Ciana, and preformed by Mace, this book is right up there with them the rest. I can never get enough of the either of them! Love every single word Ciana writes and every second of Maces voice! Such a good team!

Still can not get enough!

This third book in The Hot In The Saddle Series had more of a paranormal twist than the previous two books. I enjoyed the connection Scout had with the large cats and the way she could communicate with them. She and Cole worked well together even though they were both such strong alpha types. The storyline was interesting and exciting and kept me intrigued throughout. My only criticism would be that there was no mention of what happened to Cole in the cabin after it happened. I thought there should have been an epilogue or something to get his reaction to it. Mace Earl Finn always does such a fabulous job with all the voices. There is never any confusion as to who is speaking, male or female. I received a free copy of this audiobook and have voluntarily provided an unbiased review.

More Of A Paranormal Twist

Can you possibly believe in the impossible, can you believe in someone enough to give total trust. Cole believes in truth, Scouts truth as the best tracker, truth that the attraction between them is undeniably and when Scout comes home naked and covered with dirt, he must accept another truth that is the impossible, but will love overcome. A fantastic story, adventure, great descriptions of the forest, mountains and the majestic mountains lions. I have read the book, but listening to the audible with the narrator really melts your heart.

I listened to the audio version of this book. The narration was pretty good. I thought the narrator did a good job with the variety of voices. Often a male narrator doesn't handle The female character's voice well (and vice versa), but I easily forgot it was a male narrator. The length of the audiobook was between 5 and 5.5 hours. I listened over a period of a couple of days.

This book had a similar mystical theme as the other books. One difference was that there was not much real interaction with Cole's family.

Cole and Scout's slightly contentious beginning did not last long. I enjoy Ciana Stone's addition of nature, magic, and mysticism. It always adds something extra to the story.

If I had any complaints, they would be that (1). the story was not long enough, or needed an epilogue; and (2) after the incident in the shack, there was nothing said that showed Cole knew what happened to him, and there was nothing about his reaction to the experience. That's why I am going with only three stars.

I voluntarily listened to and reviewed this Audiobook received from the author.
