About this listen
Jesus says, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple." To be disciples of Jesus, we must deny ourselves, our families, and everything we own, even our very lives. Following Jesus would seem to be one of the most challenging quests we can face.
Yet, Jesus also tells us: "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
How can both of those teachings be true? First Christ requires us to deny everything, including our own lives. Then he tells us that his yoke is easy and his burden is light. How can his yoke be easy if he requires us to deny everything and carry our cross?
The answer is to be found among the secrets of the Kingdom Life.
Every one of God's commandments was given to us because he loves us, not to add burdens to our lives. Abandoning ourselves to the Kingdom Life is not only a narrow way, but a joyous way as well. For Jesus' yoke to be easy, we need more of Jesus, not less of him.
Secrets of the Kingdom Life was written to make the listener hungry for a deeper walk with Christ. Among other things, Bercot tells the listener how to have a powerful devotional time with God each day and then to remain in communion with God throughout the day. The listener who puts these teachings on prayer, Bible study, reflection, and obedience into action will draw closer to God than ever before. Bercot addresses issues of heart and spirit in a gracious yet convicting way and challenges the listener to make a decisive commitment to live a life totally surrendered to Christ.

Story
If someone were to ask you what was the theme of Jesus' preaching, what would be your answer? Man's need for salvation? God's love for mankind? The new birth? To be sure, Jesus spoke about all of those things. And they're all essential truths. But none of them were the theme of his teaching. The theme of Jesus' message was the kingdom of God. Wherever he went, Jesus preached about the kingdom. The irony is that the message of the kingdom is almost totally missing from the gospel that's preached today.

Sex and money scandals. An exploding divorce rate. Drug-addicted youths. And an ever-growing worldliness. Today's evangelical church is fighting battles on all fronts. And we seem to be losing these battles to the relentlessly encroaching world. Perhaps the answers to our problems are not in the present, but in the past. Because there was time when Christians were able to stand up to world.

Story
Here is the compelling narrative of the founding of America, told from a perspective that few people have ever heard. That perspective is the Sermon on the Mount. America's currency declares, "in God we trust". But did the American colonists truly trust in God in the founding of the United States? The product of nine years of research, this new work challenges much of what most of us learned in school about the founding of America and the American Revolution. Bercot's well-documented findings will surprise many people.

Practically everyone in the western world has heard of the man called St. Patrick. But hardly anyone knows anything about him. About the only two things that more people "know" about Patrick is that he was Irish and Roman Catholic. In truth, he was neither. He was British, and he belonged to the autonomous Celtic church. Although Patrick is the most famous person of his age, the real man has been buried in a cloud of myths

Story
The Apostolic Fathers are the Christian writers from the first and second centuries who are thought to have been disciples of the Apostles or to have been so directly influenced by the Apostles that their writings are considered echoes of genuine Apostolic teaching. Their writings form a link of tradition that binds these writings to those of the New Testament. Chief among the apostolic fathers are the three first-century Bishops: St. Clement of Rome, St. Ignatius of Antioch, and St. Polycarp of Smyrna, who were disciples of St. Peter and St. John.

On account of the superficial points of agreement between Islam and Christianity, many don't see how tremendously deep the divides between them really are, and fewer still have considered the evidence for each faith. How is jihad different from the Crusades? Can we know the life of Jesus as well as the life of Muhammad? What reason is there to believe in one faith over the other, and what difference can the Gospel really make?

How important is holiness to you? How much thought, attention, and effort do you devote to the pursuit of holiness? Is it your priority and mission to be holy? Nancy Leigh DeMoss teaches that we must make it our constant, conscious ambition to be holy. Just as an athlete sets his sight on winning an Olympic gold medal, so we as believers must focus on the pursuit of holiness. And the reward that awaits us brings a depth of joy that far outweighs a fading gold medal; it is the humble pleasure of hearing the father say, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

In The Law of Rewards, Alcorn shows that we shouldn't serve God just for rewards. It's more important to remember that God's reward system is for His glory, our good, and the good of others. Once we understand God's incentive program, our attitude towards generous living will never be the same. This audiobook explains how our faith determines our eternal destination but our behavior determines our eternal rewards.

More of God is about moving beyond faith. It is about getting more of God and experiencing more of God. Every book in the Bible, especially the books of the New Testament, is written for this purpose. Take the letters; those who are addressed were already saved. But the writers wanted their hearers to experience not just more knowledge about God but more of God. Everything in this book is designed to make you hungry. As you listen, keep in mind that the ever increasing hunger for more of God is from God.

Prayer. Satan laughs as he looks at the church today and says to himself, “You can have your Sunday schools and your young people’s small groups, your boys’ and girls’ programs, your vacation Bible schools, your Christian schools, your elegant churches, your retreats, your music programs, your brilliant preachers, and even your revival efforts - as long as you don’t bring the power of almighty God into them by earnest, persistent, believing, mighty prayer.” May God use this book to inspire many who are currently prayerless, or nearly so, to pray earnestly.
