Secrets...

This book had everything except hot sex! There was the girl to hate, the guy to fall for and a heroine with a complicated story and insurmountable odds..,

Loved the narration.

Worth it!

Sweet Vanilla unrealistic

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

ah 50/50. cute but bland. kinda out there and characters lacked substance

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

predictable

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Add a little more interesting dialog. It was just there....

Could you see Secrets on the Sand being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

nope

Any additional comments?

nope

Good story

Good story, but predictable and not likely to happen the way things did. I still enjoyed the book, but it could’ve been better.

Cute Sweet Read

This was a cute, sweet, and easy listen rendition of the nerdy guy in high school becoming super rich and good looking and him capturing the super the heart of his high school crush. It was a nice listen.

Secrets on the Sand by Roxanne St.Claire (Audio Edition)
Narrated by Kaleo Griffiths
The Billionaires of Barefoot Bay #1

♥ ♥ ♥ ½ This was a super quick read as it was a novella. The story was a feel good romance and I loved the plot of the hero getting his high school crush in the end. Mandy had a couple flighty moments which didn't make sense to me, and I sorta wished she’d secretly crushed on Zeke back in the day - but that's just me.

Zeke knew what he wanted and had the money to use that to his advantage. He seemed like a caring man and I felt he truly wanted Mandy, I just wish I had felt a bit more chemistry between them.

This is the first time I have heard a Kaleo Griffith's narration and while I like the tone of his voice and his clarity, I found he was quite breathy as if every conversation whispered - though perhaps that was the story as well.. it was very “hush hush” in parts. I would listen to another of his narrations.

Loved the book and the narration..

So, this is the first time I’ve read anything by Roxanne St. Claire and I only decided to try it because the book was free with KU and the audible was only $1.99. I gotta tell you, I loved it from the very beginning. Not just the storyline but the narration made it awesome.

I adored Zeke and Mandy right from the page where they were introduced to us. This is nothing but a romance, which I don’t usually read anymore, BUT it only has 198 pages, which tells me there’s NOT going to be pages and pages of angst and misunderstandings, which also tells me there’s NOT going to be stupid descriptions of trees and gardens and cars and horses and stables and ballrooms and condos and all that stuff that just takes up space in a book, making a love story into a 400 page book instead of a REAL love story into a 200 page one.

This was about a sweet woman whose husband was controlling and a criminal and who abused her with rough sex. Zeke was just the opposite and had had a crush on Mandy back in high school, where he was a total geek and she was Mandy the Magnificent. But, wow, had he changed since they’d last seen each other. I think my favorite part of the whole book was the beginning when she knocked on his door and he saw her again after all those years. It was so sweet. I enjoyed this book so much I went and bought the other two in this series before I ever finished this one.

I liked the other characters: Lacey, Garrett, Nate and Elliot. I really couldn’t stand Tori, what an absolute biotch she was.

There was a little sex in this book, as well as desire and sexual tension and there was swearing, but it wasn’t bad swearing.

As to the narrator: Kaleo Griffith was really great! His men all sounded different and his women sounded like women are supposed. His feelings and emotions when he read were fantastic.

fun listen, entertaining, good narratot

This book was a nice, light, listen about two people who get together as adults. Male lead was a geek in HS, female lead was the pretty girl he had a crush on. As adults, he is successful and she is down on her luck.
