Publisher's summary

I met Alessandra at a party. Tried to impress her. Was almost positive I was going to fail.

I think I said something along the lines of, “I’m a Goat called Fish who’s hung like a bull - but not really. I’m actually pretty average.” Smooth. I know. Try not to be jealous.

When she laughed - and I mean, really laughed - I knew she wasn’t like the other girls I’d been meeting on tour. Hell, she wasn’t even in the same stratosphere as those fangirls and gold-diggers.

At one point during the party, Alessandra said, “There’s nothing like a girl’s first love.” I knew she was talking about the first smash hit by my band, 22 Goats. Alessandra said it was the first song she’d heard by us and it “hit her like a ton of bricks”. Ironic, seeing as how I was having the same reaction from being in her presence.

I made it my mission to impress her. Give her the kiss of a lifetime that night. But since I’ve always been the dude with zero game, nothing went according to plan.

I’m not giving up, though. I’m going to win this girl over. I’m done sitting on the sidelines, watching the bad boy getting the girl. This time, the nice guy will finish first. Even if it’s the last thing he’ll do.

Just a wonderful, feel good, happy listen.

I don't write reviews very often but for this sweet book I will. While this is not the greatest book that has ever been written it is however a genuine uncomplicated young love sweet story. I found myself having a cheesy grin on my face throughout the entire book. Romance novels tend to have such over complicated plots and even more over complicated emotional baggage that a reader is often left going "wtf....is wrong with you people?" Simply put they can often just totally miss the mark on any forms of reality and because of that "norm" finding this book to be that total opposite was so refreshing. it's probably why I liked this story as much as I did.

JUST WHAT I NEEDED!

Beautiful story! I needed this story so much. There was turmoil but not the typical huge misunderstanding causing heartbreak. I still cried at the beauty of smitten!! LOVED!

Cute Love story!

I love they both seem so normal rather than over the top sexy and super confident. They find themselves and each other together. Music is a bit Hokie but the idea of them finding love through the music is awesome. Story 4.5 heat 🔥🔥🔥

The Cutest Story!

I knew I was going to love this book after only listening for an hour. The narrators are amazing and the story is so perfect. I felt every awkward and quirky moment. I will absolutely be listening again and again. Lauren Rowe knocked this one out of the park!

WOW!! Who's got the amazing smile??❤❤❤❤

Tim Paige perfected "Fish" and Andi Arndt was her usual perfect self!
Ally meets Fish at a party given by the band 22 Goats manager Reed River and how the sparks fly. So when they're at the second party together, the two are connected... at the hands...
They both have a secret they're keeping.. and its close to the same thing.
Fish is bass player for 22 Goats. Ally is an aspiring singer/songwriter.

There so many twists in this story, I don't want to give any spoilers...

Lauren Rowe has just become my new favorite author!!

Please read the series everyone.. whether you use a credit or borrow/buy the books, you will definitely not be disappointed!!!

On to my next book in the series.. I can't wait!!

A sweet story with no angst

The story of Ally and Fish was slow, but extremely sweet with absolutely no angst, and a few hot sex scenes. The best part of the book, IMO, was Tim Paige singing a cappella in one of the chapters, and the bonus song at the end of the book.

Fish and Alessandra

A deliciously sweet, endearing, and charming love story. Fish and Alessandra embarked on a beautiful journey of friendship, self discovery, and romance. Their witty banter is cute, their chemistry is fiery, but overall their connection is undeniable. I absolutely adored this book.
Narration was perfection. Loved the music too!
