Publisher's summary

After an unstable childhood, Zoey Knight landed in Juneau, Alaska, during high school, and has never left. Now in her early 30s, she lives a quiet life that includes part-time caretaker for a beloved father figure. Despite the stability, she occasionally wishes for more adventure. She gets more than she bargained for when a plane she’s in goes down in a remote stretch of wilderness - and the only other passenger is a man she’s crushed on for years.

Life as a SEAL doesn’t allow for much spare time, but Mark "Bubba" Wright still regrets not trying harder to visit his pop. Now it’s too late, and the guilt is heavy when he heads to Alaska for the reading of his father’s will. The only bright spot is finding a girl he knew in high school on the same tiny plane. The same woman, it turns out, who’s been taking care of his pop...a girl he crushed on in high school.

Struggling to survive in the Alaska back country isn’t the kind of second chance either envisioned, but relying on each other makes Zoey and Bubba’s rekindled attraction hotter than ever. Funny how puzzling out who might want them dead can bring a couple closer together....

Securing Zoey is the fourth book in the SEAL of Protection: Legacy Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Securing Zoey

Susan Stoked has out done herself once again!
The character building is great!
For me it was a phenomenal story about how our military has protected our country time and time again!
I am so glad to know that we can sleep at night!
I truly believe that if there is a threat knocking at our back door it is up to each person to protect those and themselves, but the boys of the military will be fighting to save our government no matter what we think of!
Susan you are one awesome author

BIG Alaskan Adventure⭐️

This is my favorite book by Susan of her seal team series!

Although I love all of Susan's books, this one had a certain flare!
I am really into her books with the the Seal team, because I not only like the action, but the blend of romance.

I connected with the characters and I feel the characters are likable! Bubba is a sexy hunk (but not a dom alpha) Just a sweet guy!

This book starts out as a white knuckle thriller, with lots of twists and turns.
I found both main characters very interesting and very intelligent.

*Wish Susan would have thrown in a "bear" attack" - that would have jacked up the story! AHHH!

Susan really takes you into their lives and makes you cheer for them.
Overall, it is a very sexy and thrilling book through the end!!!

The only thing I didn't agree with with the book was towards the end when they "didn't" press charges against the helicopter pilot that tried to KILL THEM! Come one folks!! If somebody tried to kill me or my loved ones - they would be in JAIL! I didn't care how Zoey got "soft" and felt bad for the female pilot just because she had kids. As Bubba stated - it was her poor life choices! Why did they glorify the pilot...just because she was a female or because she had 2 kids. People need to be responsible for their actions - especially when it comes to try to KILL another person! UHHHH!

Overall I loved this book - by that portion near the end was a TURN off for me with Zoey - she lost points folks!

Thank you Susan can’t wait to read the next one.... Keep em coming!!!!

Good story but plenty of Room for more detail

I thought the storyline was great but the book was too short for the content I think that this could have gone on at least 5 or 6 more chapters, I did not care for the narrator's tone when it came to doing the male lines of the book

Wright and Knight

Securing Zoey by Susan Stoker was one great read, this has suspense, mystery, danger and plenty of chemistry. The characters are well written and I absolutely loved Zoey and Mark aka Bubba. I just loved this story, it hooked me from the very start. The narrator Savannah Peachwood was enjoyable she brought the characters alive for me. Bubba is on his way home to Alaska he knows he should have come home sooner, now he has regrets and feels the guilt. Zoey lives a quiet life in Juneau Alaska while away visiting her mother she has been called back home it is concerning the beloved father figure in her life. While waiting for the plane Mark and Zoey come face to face with each other, both are surprised to see one another after all high school was a few years ago. This is just where the fun starts. This was a fabulous story in my opinion.

Love the book, but it’s better read on kindle

I love Susan Stoker’s books, and made the mistake of buying the audible. As in, huge mistake. I know Ms. Peachwood is a supposedly popular narrator, since she’s done several. But I can’t figure out why. Her voice is annoying, there’s little to no differentiation between male and female voices, and her reading cadence ability and “acting” skills are nonexistent. Save your audible credits and download Susan’s other series. Now they’re worth twice the credits!
