Publisher's summary

From USA Today best seller Wendy Vella comes an exciting Regency series about legend, love, and destiny, with a hint of magic…

Lord Devonshire Sinclair understands his family’s heightened senses are a result of a long-ago pact between the Sinclairs and the powerful Raven family. "To honor and protect" is their creed. He has also accepted that no woman could live at his side and understand what he is capable of…until now.

Miss Lilliana Braithwaite has always appeared a woman of little sense, with a tendency to dress like a colorblind field mouse. Dev had, for two years, ignored her, until one night he finds her on the streets of London, attempting to rescue a child, and thereby hurling herself into danger. From that day forth everything between them changes, and in Lilly he finds the woman who could tame his heart. However, she does not appear convinced by that fact.

With only a matter of months before she receives her inheritance, Lilly is determined to hold her secrets close. No easy task when Lord Sinclair seems equally determined to meddle in her affairs. Lilly tries to repel him, but finds herself weakening as he rescues her from the fiend intent on disrupting her plans. Soon, she can not walk away from Dev, but can she allow herself to trust him enough to give him her heart?

A Moving Plot

In this story, Devon Sinclair confronts his lady love, or maybe it’s the other way around. Someone is abducting London street kids and Liliana Braithwaite is determined to put a stop to it plus keep her fortune and independence despite her dissolute brother’s intent to marry her off. When Devon Sinclair realizes Lily is not an insipid, obtuse lady, he insists on helping her and sparks fly. Wendy Vella is the best in the business for historical adventure romances with a dash of the paranormal. Seeing Danger is an exciting, outrageous, hang-on-‘cause-here-we-go installment in the Raven-Sinclair series. If you prefer historicals with characters who stroll about the countryside or hang out drinking tea, seek elsewhere. Devon and Lily seldom sit still. For the heat-seekers, yes, we have a few scenes with on-page, dsecriptive sex. For the historical purists, Seeing Danger emphasises telling a darn good yarn over historical accuracy. But whatever. This story is fiction in the most entertaining sense. Alex Wyndham as usual performs well. Highly recommend.

Outstanding!

I have listen to many books and have enjoyed so much Wendy Vellas books with the narrator so much. They are truly heartwarming and made me smile and laugh as well as keeping me in suspense! I can’t wait for the others in the series. I probably listened to the three books at least 3 times! I needed to feel hopeful and see love of family. Wonderful listen and read. Love the narrator too. Wonderful baritone voice. It has everything love, sex, love of family, and humor.

Good Story, but a Negligible Foundation!

I've listened to both "Sensing Danger & Seeing Danger." I truly liked the dynamic of the Sinclair family & their superior innate abilities. Both stories were interesting & gripping at moments. I especially enjoyed the narration of Alex Wyndham, who always provides a superior vocal performance. He's simply "Magnifique." Mr. Wyndham is the main reason that I decided to purchase the books, along with desiring something new for my listening pleasure. What really knocked me for a loop was two things. First, the hero was a predator, IMO (He constantly spoke of "ravishment." Ravish means to force a person to have sex using violence). The hero was in an authority position & consistently bullied the heroine into all forms of intimacy. There was no real relationship other than sexual. Where was the romance & courtship? Second, the author constantly repeated words/phrases throughout the story as if the audience were dullards. Conversations were also repeated in the other book, as well as the layout of the story. Why read the same progression of a story in three books? My suggestion is to pick one book from the series, but don't waste credits or money on the entire series.

Lovely story, interesting characters

Wendy Vella is a new author for me, but I'm now a fan. She tells a good story and creates characters one can relate to. And there not enough good things to say about Alex Wyndham. He is masterful at giving life to characters and in creating life in a story.
