Publisher's summary

A contemplative journey into self-inquiry and the "way of subtraction". Adayshanti invites us to explore the original purpose of meditation: a gateway to the objectless freedom of being...of awareness itself, beyond the notion of "myself".

Helpful Guided Meditation

This is a helpful guided meditation. Whether you have read about self inquiry in books about Ramana Maharshi or are just interested in the Zen or Advaita concept that you are not really the false self you think of as your personality, this is a splendid way to begin discovering your true self.

Sweet and Simple

Adyashanti simply and clearly tells you Exactly what's going on, and Has been going on for all time. Graciously and with ease he answers the "ages old question" about Who AND What we are. Beautifully Done.

Meditation #3 from "True Meditation" by Adyashanti

I feel as if Adyashanti is one of the most authentic, sincere, and truly liberated spiritual teachers. I have all of Adyashanti's audiobooks and books. Since it hasn't been mentioned by Audible or any reviewer yet, I would like to say that this meditation is meditation #3 from his audiobook "True Meditation", which is also available on Audible.com (and on Amazon.com as a 2 CD set, if you prefer). If you already own the audiobook True Meditation there is no need to buy this meditation, unless you want it separately for some reason.

Meditative Self-Inquiry (as Adyashanti calls the meditation on True Meditation) is one of the 3 core practices of his teaching. The other 2 core practices are: (1) meditation and (2) contemplation. If you would like to learn more about these 3 core practices in a concise way I recommend reading his 53 page book "The Way of Liberation: A Practical Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment." You will also learn his Five Foundations and Three Orienting Ideas in "The Way of Liberation."

just what I needed

the amazing thing about Adyashanti is you never expect how the teaching will be just what you needed to hear and it always gets you. it's short but it was worth it and I will treasure this on my library and revisit.
