About this listen

Jane Yellowrock has her hands full in the latest novel in the New York Times best-selling series that captures "the essence of urban fantasy" (SF Site).

Slaying vampires is child's play for skinwalker Jane Yellowrock. But handling the complicated politics of New Orleans' supernatural players is another story....

Jane is keeping the peace between visiting groups of witches and vamps in the city, but then trouble comes knocking on her door. When her house is magically attacked, the wild chase to find her assailants unearths a mystery that has literally been buried deep.

A missing master vampire, presumed long deceased, is found chained in a pit...undead, raving mad, and in the company of two human bodies. Now it's up to Jane to find out who kept the vampire hidden for so long and why, because the incident could tip already high supernatural tensions to an all-out arcane war.

my first Jane yellowrock Book

it took me a little while to get into it. at the same time I just didn't want to not finish the story. I think I would have been better served by starting with book 1

Awesome ... Again

I love this author and narrator, hard to believe after 22 hours it's still not enough of Jane, Bruiser and Eli. As always awaiting the next one.

Best one yet

Can't get enough of Jane Yellowrock! Finally the root cause of everything that has happened to Jane since she arrived in New Orleans is revealed and the battle is one that puts not only her, Elie, Alex and the Everharts in danger but all the city of NO, witches and vamps included. Leo is still playing vampire games, (spoilers) Edmund has now been placed in Janes employment in ways she is not comfortable with and Brute is back to stay. Her discovery of a long missing Vampire is the key but she has to unravel all the secrets, the lies and the hidden back stories to bring it to one final conclusion. And all of that while the threat of the Euro Vamps arriving hangs over them. Jane has learned more about herself and her Beast to become something greater but she is still fighting it, attempting to learn more and it is a blessing and a curse for her. WOW!! I love Khristina Hvame, her narration of Jane is on the money and she allows me to see and feel Jane as she goes through all her moods, missteps, pain and uncertainty. And my garden looks great sine I listen to Jane while I'm out there, makes the time go by faster and sometimes too fast. Write faster Faith Hunter, I still need another section of garden to put in.

Shadow Rites

First of the Jane Yellowrock books, so it took a bit to get used to the accent. Love her writing style and descriptive phrasing. Will enjoy the next book in the series.

Absolutely pure fun!

I have consumed each of the Jane Yellowrock books and couldn't wait to dip into this one! Pure fun and amazingly satisfying to read, this book especially seemed flawless as we come along on the journey and watch Jane evolve and her family grow. Now you'll have to excuse me as I order up the next book and feed my addiction!
