Publisher's summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Carrie Ann Ryan completes a sexy contemporary series with an unrequited crush on the bad boy next door.

Caleb Carr might have once been ready for commitment, but when the unexpected slams into him with the force of a two-ton truck, he knows he has to run away from anything that might be important. Zoey might well be his final temptation, but to keep her whole, he’ll walk away.

Zoey Wager has loved Caleb since they were eight. And has had her heart broken from afar repeatedly ever since. It doesn’t help that every time she sees him - even when she’s running away halfway across the world - he’s with another woman. She's watched him fall in lust her entire life. Now, she's ready to watch him fall in love. With her.

Chance encounters of the sequined kind, best friends who aren’t really just your friend, and childhood meet cutes that are anything but cute force the Carr siblings to face what life has brought them. Again.

Zoey and Caleb

This is Zoey and Caleb's story and I hate to say it but I liked this one the least of all the books in this series. That's not to say I didn't like the book because I did, but at times I had difficulties liking Caleb, that said this was still a book I could not stop listening to. I loved Carrie Ann's writing style and I enjoyed that almost all the characters in the book felt like old friends.

Caleb is the last of the Carrs to find his life partner although Zoey has been part of his life since they were children, he never really saw her. She's loved Caleb since she was eight years old, although it seemed like fate kept throwing them together over the years he was always with a different girlfriend.

When Zoey's sister asked her to be Maid of Honor at her wedding she was thrown into close contact, yet again, with Caleb as he was the Best Man. He's come home, left the job he loved and was now working in an office because he's sick. He's having migraine-like headaches and has even had a hallucination! But he hasn't told his family, he's had so many tests but still has no idea what is wrong with him - is it a tumour in his brain? Is he going to die?

Zoey's sister was a bridezilla, she's demanding and unreasonable but Zoey just took everything and quietly went about all the arrangments she had to do as well as running her own business. The proximity to Caleb seemed to be the one good thing to come out of it, he's seen her at last and they've started a relationship. They've become close but have never talked about the future, Caleb's scared he doesn't have one and she didn't want to pressure him.

The wedding day arrived and Caleb has allowed his fear full rein, he wanted to give Zoey an out, a reason to leave him, but instead of telling her his fears, he invited another woman to the wedding! As I said at the start of this review I had a hard time liking Caleb, his secretiveness and his actions on the wedding day is the reason.

The narration of this book by Samantha Cook and Jacob Morgan is excellent, it could not be improved upon.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Caleb and Zoey

I really enjoyed Caleb and Zoey's story.
Their friendship that bloomed into so much more. But the adoration between them through the years is the sweetest.
I loved the way that Caleb was always there when Zoey needed him. It was like fate had a hand in it the entire time.

Really loved this audio and enjoyed the narrators.

I didn't want this series to end. I love the Carr family!

What do you do when you're in love with your childhood friend. When she drops the L word you are shocked. You never seen it coming but you never realized that she's the one you have always been waiting on.

Caleb and Zoey

Zoey has been in love with Caleb since she was 8 years old. Over the years, Zoey’s heart broke a little each time she saw Caleb with a different woman. While attending her sister’s wedding, Zoey decides she can no longer avoid Caleb. As they give into the chemistry that is building between them and start a relationship, will Caleb throw it all away as he waits to hear if his tests results from severe migraines is something worse and he is going to die. Will his secret cause him to lose Zoey or will he take a chance and allow her in so they can have a HEA?

Shameless!!

Caleb Carr, dayum! Zoey has been friends with Caleb since they were kids and love him from afar. Now as adults, their lives intertwined with Zoey being friends with Caleb’s sister. They are thrown together to help plan a wedding. The cuteness of knowing each other since they were so young and now getting to know each other is overloading. He is the perfect gentleman, sweet and so sexy. I liked that girls were never disappointed with him. That’s why I almost virtually kick him when he hurt Zoey. I loved every aspect of this book and specially the happily ever after they got. Another great listen 🎧 with the help of awesome narrators.

Shameless with Him

Audio: The narration by Jacob Morgan and Samantha Chase was flawless, they brought an already amazing book to a whole other level!

Book: I was crying all the tears when I finished Zoey & Caleb’s story! Not only for the story because That epilogue was EVERYTHING!! But I can’t believe they are over. Zoey and Caleb were the PERFECT end to the series! They’ve been part of story from Book 1, we’ve watched their relationship build and change from the sidelines but we had NO IDEA what was really going on over there. I love love love that they had seen each other in places all over, not just their home town, and I love how Caleb make up for that later on!

loved it!

Wow! Caleb and Zoey were such a great couple. I loved how CAR wrote the evolution of their knowing each other. It was definitely a great way to make you fall for them both. Watching these two connect was so addictive. I was not going to stop listening till I got to the HEA! I admit there was a very big scene where I literally had tears in my eyes. This story was the perfect companion for my daily walks. It let me escape into the story.

as a child of a parent who was a surrogate

I hated the Lacy character. she was whiney needy and had absolutely no backbone. she had unsolicited no respect for her sister or future brother in law despite their history. I loved this story that brought the MCS together but the side story made me soooooooomad. Caleb's a gem of a MC. I don't k ow if the MC female ver sion would have kept my interest. I don't know that this was worth a credit or a relisten for me.
