About this listen

A new town. A new bar. A new life.

At least, that’s what I’m hoping for.

I moved to Denver to try to piece my family back together, but I have no idea how to do that. Then the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen walks into my bar, and I think things are looking up. She needs a fake boyfriend for the night, and I’m all too eager to play along. But when the sun rises, reality settles in, and I know I want more. Only I don’t think she’s ready for what I have to give.

I want to be more than a good time, but I know what I’m good for. I need control. And she’s far too innocent. But when something happens that changes the rules, we’ll have to make a choice quickly, or we could lose everything before it even starts.

Absolutely loved this!

This book was definitely fast paced and fun! Who would have thought these two would have been so lucky to find and fall so deeply in love with one another. I really enjoyed this book and even the steamy scenes were great. Overall it was a fantastic book . The narrators did a superb job portraying these characters and their emotional journey . It was a pleasure to listen to.

Completely hooked...

Good Time Boyfriend is the first in this new series. We get Heath and Devney’s story up first. Heath is Greer’s eldest brother, whom we originally met in her story in the Montgomery series. I was completely hooked on this story and couldn’t put it down. It was witty, full of heart, past hurt, had so many feels and the chemistry was off the charts. I loved the blended and found family aspect that Carrie Ann always brings us. What a great read. I am looking forward to more from this series.

Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder did an amazing job bringing these characters to life.

Good Time Boyfriend

I enjoyed this first book of the new series, the characters are great, and the links back to some of the other characters from an earlier series were good to revisit.

The narration was awesome.

I Loved It

This wonderful book is the first instalment in Carrie Ann Ryan's latest series and let me tell you it was a fantastic book that hooked me in from start to finish. I adored the characters Heath and Deveny and thought they were perfect for each other.

Heath Cassidy (we met briefly in Best Friend Temptation, Montgomery Ink Legacy book 4) and his siblings have moved to Denver to be closer to their sister Greer. His family is back together for the first time after being separated as children when their parents divorced. Greer going with their mother and all the boys with their father, This action has left lasting scars on all the Cassidys but especially Heath as he is the oldest,

He and his best friend, Ace own a bar and it was there that he first saw Deveny. It was just a look across a crowded bar but it was enough for neither of them to get the other out of their heads. So much so that he hardly, if ever, dated and she made him into her imaginary boyfriend to keep her over-protective family from trying to constantly fix her up!

But when Denver told her over-protective sibling that they were not together anymore, because, let's face it she couldn't introduce them, she never expected them to dash over to his bar and ask him why he hurt their sister! Nor did she expect the sexy bartender, Heath to play along and say they were only taking a break! From that point on everything changes for both of them, they become a couple who are together just for fun. Nothing serious and no strings, Heath becomes her Good Time Boyfriend.

But the more time they spend together the closer Heath and Devney become and they both realise that they have unintentionally fallen in love with each other. But then old hurts and fears resurface and Heat takes drastic measures. Fortunately, his loved ones helped him see things differently. But is it too late?

Against this backdrop, we are introduced to the Cassidys, the Johnsons, and the Womacks, who number many as she has five older step-siblings and five younger half-siblings. Ace and his fiancée, Grace and we also get to know her best friend Paisley and Deveney's Boss, Addison who just happens to be Heath's brother Luca’s ex-wife!

This first instalment in Carrie Ann Ryan's newest series is fun, intriguing and sometimes moving. I can't wait to find out what Carrie Anne has in store for us next.

The narration is wonderfully performed by the super-talented Emma Wilder and Teddy Hamilton, they did an excellent job of bringing all of these characters to life.

Love Heath and Devney

Heath and his brothers moved to Denver to be closer to their sister Greer in order to rebuild their family after their parents kept them separated. Co-owning a bar with his best friend Ace is when he first sees Devney when see stops by his bar.

Devney is from a large blended family. Her older siblings are constantly trying to set her up which causes her to make up a fake boyfriend based on a bar owner (Heath) she only had a glance at; this goes on for about a year until she tells her family they've broken up causing them to confront him at his bar for hurting their sister. When Devney tries to defuse the situation with her family, Heath decides to play along and explains they were taking a break. Once her family leaves, Heath wants an explanation about what just happened and when Devney explains why it happened, he convinces her to go on a real date with him to ease her guilt about lying to her family.

Their chemistry is so strong, their fake relationship turns into a hot, steamy and fun real one. Just when things start to get serious between Heath and Devney, his parents unexpectedly show up and cause Heath's insecurities about love and relationships question if he's good enough for Devney. Will Heath get out of his own way and get his HEA with Devney or will he let his insecurities get the best of him.

Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder are perfect narrators for Heath and Emma. Great first book in this new series. Carrie Ann does not disappoint.

Whole new spin on Fake dating

Is it fake dating if you didn't know you were claimed as the fake boyfriend? This story takes a whole new spin on the idea of fake dating. Fake but real, trial style boyfriend, either way Heath is ready to step up for what Devney has already laid claim on him for. When her family shows up at his bar claiming he has broken her heart he was extremely confused but seeing it is the gorgeous girl he had a moment with a year ago makes him want to give things a real fake try. I really loved the family dynamic. The way that siblings step up and be there for each other is beautiful.
The connection Heath and Devney have is so instant but the way they grow and challenge each other through the story kept things fresh. The spice was just perfect and so meaningfully written.

Really good fake relationship romance

I always love a fake relationship for the start of a romance. This was a fun read for me and the characters had good chemistry together. Heath saw devney when she came to his bar and was interested in her. Devney has a family that wants to see her in a relationship. Loved this story and am looking forward to more in the series.

Flirty, sweet and romantic!

Ever since meeting Greer's brothers in "Best Friend Temptation", I have been counting down the days until her siblings got their series. "Good Time Boyfriend" is a flirty, sweet and romantic fake dating romance that was the perfect start to the new series.

Devney is the middle child of 11 kids and is always under the microscope of her family, in the most caring way. So, to help get them off her back, she makes up a fake boyfriend and uses Heath as her inspiration. Heath and his siblings moved to Colorado to be closer to his sister, Greer. And there he opens his own bar. When a striking blonde he met a year earlier comes in with her siblings and they think he's dating, Heath goes along with it. Heath has nothing to gain out of it but he's a good guy and pretends to date Devney. But as they spend time together, a connection between them forms.

This was such a fun and flirty story. Heath and Devney were the perfect couple to start this story. Heath is such a great brother, and you can tell how much he loves his siblings. His need to help and protect shines through and that is apparent when helps Devney without a second thought. Devney is so sweet and relatable to me. She's also close with her siblings but struggles to stand out on her own. I loved the friendship they developed as they spent time together. They had flirty banter but connected on a deeper level. There are some parental issues with Heath, who are an absolute mess, but that mess helps him realize that he is worthy to have someone like Devney. I loved their families and I'm so excited for the rest of the series.

Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder narrate this story and I just loved listening to them so much. Teddy was the perfect choice to play the caring and protective Heath. And Emma was great as the sweet and loveable Devney.
