Very good story. Horus’ betrayal really shook these guys up to the core. No wonder their ticked off and confused.

The book provides some great shorter stories about the shattered legions that fill in what they were dealing/going through.

This was a pretty solid adventure into the 40k universe. I was blown away by the pacing of the story, before I noticed I was inching up on 30mins left and was lamenting the ride was nearly over. It doesn't have a strong focus on the rest of the Heresy series, it's more like a spotlight being shown on the survivors of the drop site massacre and the effects on the greater narrative. Still, it's become one of my favorite books in the series. Give it a read if you love the Iron Hands.

I liked a lot of the stories in this book some weren't the best but everything was voice acted incredibly well and I was very entertained the entire time.

As the name implies, this covers the legions shattered at the Drop Site Massacre and related stuff but in a series of short stories that are mostly unconnected. While it doesn't involve the Emperor going on about his life story or anything particularly profound, Shattered Legions does offer perspectives of the Iron Hands centrally, Raven Guard, Alpha Legion, and a bit of Horus' boys.

Certainly worth a listen.

Good & varied stories in the Warhammer 40,000 Horus Heresy universe. The anthology books in the series are greatly underappreciated.

Only prob was one of the narrator's tending to lostsa shouting of the lines. I get they're exclamations, heat of the battle stuff but makes it really hard to listen to when I'm going to sleep. Can't imagine listening on headphones...

It was fun. But it’s not essential for your overall completion of the HH. Some of the stories drag on for far too long or shouldn’t be there at all.
