About this listen

His name was Kuuna Puuku. His exploits were legendary and whispered around Comanche campfires. Rumor had it he was almost invincible. He led a roving band of renegade Comanche that looted, plundered, raped, and slaughtered settlers all over west Texas at will - until he visited Shawgo's valley.

They murdered Shawgo's wife and family, burned his house, butchered his cattle, and stole his horses! Now, Shawgo hits the vengeance trail to right the wrongs committed against him. He was sworn he won't stop until every last one of them are sent to wander sightless in the great hereafter.

A hunt for Kuuna Puuku

The first book in the series was great so I could not wait to read book 2. I was so disappointed that his wife and ranch hands were killed because the ending of book 1 seemed so perfect. But Dusty Rhodes tells an interesting and exciting story as Shawgo hunts down the Comanche band lead by Kuuna Puuku that raided his ranch killed everyone and stole his horses. The action is non stop; Shawgo get out of one problem only to find himself in another. Gene Engene's voice is made for a western, he is great in narrating the story. The ending was different than I thought it would be, Rhodes pulls a surprise at the end. I am looking forward to reading more of Dusty Rhodes books and hope that Audible keeps adding his new books to the reading list.

Shawgo 2

This is the second book in this series. I like Shawgo. This is a great book and series. I do think Shawgo could have made better decisions like kill the Mexicans that threatens you and says I'll kill you later. I Say kill them now before they come back and ambush you. That's what I like about Jess Williams he wouldn't let you come back and ambush him. I also liked White Wolf . He was the tracker for Shawgo. I wish there was more books in this series. Gene Engene did an excellent job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

Mumble mumble mumble.

We had to turn this book off. The narrater/reader
Is to hard to understand. He mumbles trying so hard to understand the man can’t keep with story. It might be a good story if we could of understand the narratier. Very unhappy. I would like my money back
We listen to a lot of audio books
