About this listen

The author of New York Times best-selling novels like God Don't Play, Mary Monroe is especially adept at capturing the tumultous highs and lows of the unforgettable characters who populate her books. In She Had It Coming,it's the best of times and the worst of times for Dolores Reese, who's married to two different men in two different cities.©2008 Mary Monroe (P)2008 Recorded Books,LLC African American Contemporary Contemporary Romance Romance

I enjoyed this story

I like this story. At times it seemed like Lo didn't care about but herself. I always liked Floyd and there was always an amount of pity that I had for him. But Paul was just an ass for no reason. You could always tell he looked down on her. The ending left much to be desired but overall it was a good story

Great Read

With the title and Lo's story line , I expected a bit more. This does not mean the book wasn't good bc it was still a decent read. Beginning of the book begins a bit slow, picks up shortly afterwards. Perfect for listening to while in traffic to/from work. (Did I mention I have the audio book) The ending leaves you on edge and I just wish SHE STILL HAD IT COMING (hint, hint for a continuation)

Good read

I really did enjoy this book. I was happy with most of the characters. The only thing is I wish that she had ended up with one of the guys. And when I say that I mean one of her husband's.

Creative!

Nothing. It was not predictable and it helps my interest to the very end. Will look for more from this author!

How Blessed the main character was.

Delores was too gullible. She was desperate to please everyone around her..
She couldn’t enjoy her own blessing.

Welp she definitely had it coming lol

Mary Monroe has done it yet again. Only with her books do I find myself laughing and shaking my head at the same time. This books had a couple of twists and turns but also was predictable. It’s a feel good read as always. Even Ms. Patricia who loves to swallow and smack throughout the narrating was good. You get use to her after a while and is good at bringing the characters to life.

Classic semi-ghetto fiction

Not a bad book. It's definately an interesting read from Ms. Patricia R. Floyd, who is always great. However, the book has a few things in it that just seem implausible, and overly dramatic, but that's usually par for the course for novels like these. Very entertaining.
