About this listen

In the newest addition to the bestselling series, Stone Barrington and Holly Barker pursue a master spy and murderer in a tropical paradise where very little is as it seems.

Teddy Fay, a rogue agent last seen escaping an imploding building in Iron Orchid, has been considered dead for some time now. But President Will Lee thinks Teddy may still be alive. In a top-secret Oval Office meeting, Stone learns that he and his cohorts, Holly Barker and Dino Baldachetti, are being sent to the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Marks, courtesy of the CIA, to track down Teddy once and for all.

St. Marks is a vacationer's paradise, but its luxurious beach clubs and secluded mountain villas are home to corrupt local politicians and more than a few American ex-pats with murky personal histories. Stone and Holly soon discover that in St. Marks, everyone is hiding something, and Teddy Fay may just be hiding in plain sight.

What you would expect...

...from Stuart Woods. Somewhat superficial, slightly unbelievable and highly entertaining. I don't think I would ever rate one of his works a "5", but I do enjoy the listen. But don't look for anything too deep.

Another interesting time on St. Mark's

It is always interesting when Stone goes to the island of St. Marks and this book is proof of that. Great read.

Ex cel lent reading

The story and reader were very good, however the book tended to repeat chapters over and over again. It is not the fault of my iPad because I have read many, many other books on it and NEVER had this problem. I hope this matter will be fixed soon.

Chapter repetition

I love this series but don’t want to finish this book because the chapters are jumbled. It is frustrating having to skip around and try to figure out where the repetition ends and get back to where the book continues. I was already frustrated that the last book wasn’t on audible and this book doesn’t have the chapters listed correctly (for example audible says there are 13 chapters of various lengths but there are more than 50). I would hope this problem will be corrected as soon as possible so people can listen to Stuart woods the way it was written.

Great Book but had audio probs

Refreshingly different than previous Stone Barrington stories. I did have some type of error, however.... The back half of the audio book seemed to be duplicated. I kept having to fast forward through previously heard material. Very annoying! But book was good!

Not bad

Not my favorite Stone Barrington Novel. It seems that the story drags when other characters are brought in from another series. I love the Holly Barker series as well but the same thing happens in those with Teddy.

Great characters and dialogue

This narrator is the best. I live the pace and the tone. Every character is distinguishable.

Another good one!

Love the Stone Barrington series. It's like listening to old friends. Tony Robbins does an outstanding job with the characters voices.

Quality was not good

What did you like best about Shoot Him if He Runs? What did you like least?

The audible quality of the book was not good. It kept going back to chapters Id already listened too.
