About this listen

Hysterical! Ten years ago, Uproar took the explicit-lyrics, grown-up version of this classic performance off the market in favor of the edited "clean" version. Now, on the 10-year anniversary of that decision, we are happy to bring it back. Enjoy!

Unfortunate loss of an awesome comedian far too young. This is hilarious and will keep you laughing

love John Pinette

I have always loved John Pinette and his unique brand of humor. I can't find anything negative to say about this other than it's not long enough.

hilarious

So funny and not too dirty. On the clean side. Big laugh out loud. Haha.

Decided to purchase after hearing Pinette on XM. Now we can't stop laughing at him, and with him. His stories might even help folks laugh at themselves too

Can't stop laughing!

Warning don’t listen to this while you are at work. You will get raised eyebrows and give people wrinkled foreheads. This was funnnnnny…. It does have lots of bad words in it so if you are looking for a clean comedy this is not it. Don’t listen to this on an empty stomach. As funny as Gabriel Iglesias.

Look out buffet here I come….

I am a big fan of John Pinette's humor. He has used many of these routines for many years and over the years they have gotten better. This recording is from his earlier years, but they are still funny. Having heard his routine later in his career it was interesting to hear these more original versions. Some of his expressions can only be experienced in-person or through video, but he is still very funny. This version is also a little more raw/adult in the language, so it's not the recording you want in the mini-van, but if you need a chuckle, this recording will not disappoint.

Funny - From an earlier recording

If you could sum up Show Me the Buffet in three words, what would they be?

Funny, funny, funny!

What did you like best about this story?

Years ago, I could actually afford to go to the good buffets in Las Vegas....Every time I listen to this book, I think of how much I enjoyed that time.

Which character – as performed by the narrator – was your favorite?

John Pinette obviously plays himself in this story and he does it so well. Incredibly enjoyable if you happen to have a similar appetite for buffets.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book amused me so much, that I deliberately did not listen to it in one sitting. I'm not sure if I have even finished it because I keep going back to different segments each time I start to listen, again.

Any additional comments?

Just loved it!!
