About this listen

Why Knot take a chance at love?

Evelyn Townsend is the friend your parents warned you about. She's always jumping off bridges with reckless abandon. So when a reality show promises the opportunity to meet her perfect match, Evelyn is all in. There's just one major catch—her soulmate will be picked by a panel of experts, and she doesn't get to meet him until they are face to face at the end of the aisle.

Quincy Parrish has played it safe his entire life. When he steps way out of his comfort zone and auditions for a reality television show, he never expected to be picked. Quincy doesn't believe in the concept of soulmates, and the chances this arranged marriage will work are slim to none. But he's messed up his love life for the past thirty-five years. Maybe a group of experts can do a better job.

After the I dos comes the getting to know one another. Living together, meeting the family, and revealing secrets all while cameras follow their every move. Evelyn and Quincy can't deny their chemistry, but can they get past the spectacle of the ever-present cameras and crew to find something real? A chance at love is better odds than nothing, even if that means falling in love while the whole world is watching.

What a Gem!

This is a new to me author and I’m so glad I gave her a try. This was a great story that had me laughing, crying, and laughing again. I love the concept as a MAFS fan. The narrators were perfection and this was just an overall great ride!

Married At First Sight but Better

If you are a fan of the TV show, you’ll definitely enjoy this book. I wish the show was more like the book actually. Evelyn got on my nerves at the end, but I loved the story and turnout. The author writes really good romance novels.

Chapter 22 STUPID Evelyn…

I enjoyed this story and the narrators were amazing! They were both dealing with a lot of insecurities but Evelyn’s insecurities were massive and she drove me crazy from Chapter 22 thru 25…. Quincy was way too good for her.

Married at First Sight?

The synopsis hinted at a “Married at First Sight “ type vibe and I’m obsessed with that show. I love that aspect of the story but I liked that the premise of the show was really a background. Quincy and Evelyn love story are real and endearing. I wish the conversation about the Ex to have happened earlier but I still enjoyed it. I’m a sucker for love and this sold me

This book was AWESOME!

This is my first time reading something by this author. I got the book because of the narrators. Nicole and Benjamin did there thing and made the characters come to life! Ms Thompson did an excellent job with this book. It had the right amount of heat and the characters with all there imperfections made feel all types of emotions.

Love humor andrama

This book was so good. I read some of the reviews and didn't understand why there was criticism regarding how similar this is to a tv reality show. This author was able to seamlessly and brilliantly mix love drama and humor. Also able to touch on social issues to even include mental illness. This book was genius The narrators could not have been better. They did a fantastic job.Benjamin Charles's voice and narrating talent is everything. .I totally thoroughly enjoyed reading and listening.
Great job!

Great Character Development

I appreciated the main characters both being childfree, working professionals. I think the amount of insecurities they each carried were very genuine and realistic, but also irritating because since they essentially stemmed from poor/evasive communication. Yes, you should have communicated how you ended up in foster care with your wife; and yes, you should have communicated that you were previously married with your husband. Assuming the other already knew or would undoubtedly be ok with either sans any conversation is childish. I found myself rooting for them both and hoping they would let their walls down, be vulnerable with each other and make it to the end, so the story overall won me over.

Amazing story, which encompassed love trust, hurt ambition, and what's required to be your authentic self every day!
