About this listen

“[An] exceptionally entertaining, superbly sexy love story that also freely embraces other important things in life, like friendship, family, and food.” Booklist

When Maggie's best friend admits he's in love with her, she'll have to decide whether it's worth giving up something good for something that could be amazing in this laugh-out-loud friends-to-lovers rom-com.

After a bad breakup, Maggie wants to find her Prince Charming, but all she’s finding are frogs. When her best friends, Savvy and Joan, apply pressure and demand she find a date worthy of attending their respective weddings, she agrees to take her own advice and try online dating. Since she's the maid of honor for both weddings, her bridal party duties are massive, but both brides insist that Maggie prioritize finding a date. After an onslaught of maybes, noes and hell noes, she’s close to giving up, when she meets a handsome doctor at the gym who just might be the one.

Meanwhile, her college bestie, Garrett, throws salt in everyone’s game. At every turn, he points out the red flags and tells Maggie to keep looking. Things come to a head when Maggie demands that Garrett be happy for her, and he finally admits that he can’t. Not when he’s not with her. When he blurts out his feelings, Maggie’s world is turned upside down. Now, she must choose between the perfect guy and a friendship that is the foundation for everything she’s ever wanted.

Beautiful Beautiful story!!! It made me want to fall in love tonight lol! I was a little worried that Maggie was gonna blow it and choose wrong, but she did what she was supposed to do. Lol I don't want to give away the story. Very good read.

The ladies had a really good friendship, and a lot of love for each other. I enjoyed the back and forth.

Good summer read

The story was very unrealistic yet predictable. The characters also had zero layers to them. Very flat book. That being said, the sex scenes descriptions were top notch

Unrealistic yet predictable

Sometimes we overlook the ones closest to us. I love the friendship of the girls. You need those different personalities especially in your 30s

Cute Storyline

The story was good. Very hard to get thru because of the narrator. Poorly narrated, I had to actually get the soft copy to read it. It’s a romance comedy on words. Good buy

Community is important

This was such a beautiful story! I always say your best friend is your forever person. I love that it ended the way it did

True Love

Maggie is either stupid or the tension in this story is forced, because so much of it DID NOT make sense. The story is supposed to be about a woman trying to decide between two “equal” potential suitors; however, while she’s going through all this mental anguish it’s so clear that one of her choices is LITERALLY perfect for her, and the other one is marginal except for the fact that he has money. Combined with her incredible selfishness, immaturity and the weird frenemy style relationship she seems to have with Savvy, it felt really difficult to root for Maggie’s relationship success, even if imperfect people deserve love too.

That said, I do enjoy this author’s work and look forward to reading her other stories.

Good read; however…

The storyline was cute overall but I found myself rolling my eyes at the main female lead most of the time, to the point where I wasn't really rooting for her the way I should have.

Unlikable main character

i really enjoyed the narrator. She did an amazing job. The reason i gave the book 4s all across was that the box dragged a lot. That, a spent half thr book mad at the main character. She had an amazing guy in her corner yet spent way too much time trying to decide between him and a 3 minute brother who counted her calories.

All and All, a good listen
