Police Chief Tucker Ambrose hopes the stolen bicycle is just a prank, but his years as a cop in Chicago tell him different. Then a body is discovered in the middle of the woods, staged with a Bible, a crucifix, and a rosary...and Tucker knows something dark and sinister has arrived in his town.
Miranda Harley knows exactly what's going on. In fact she's been tracking this serial killer, hoping to gather enough evidence to convict him. Trouble is no one will believe her--not even the sexy police chief whose heated gazes promise nights of sin. But when Miranda falls into the crosshairs of a psychopath, Tucker must put aside his doubts and race to stop the killer from striking again.

Where does Silent Night rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I've listened to quite a number of books in the last 18 months. I would put this one in the upper middle of those. It is'nt a bad listen by any means, but there is a love at first site issue that is a little over the top for my taste.Would you recommend Silent Night to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes, I would recommend "Silent Night" to my friends. The storyline and character are interesting and the setting in a town called 'Christmas' is fun. The plot starts out with you knowing or at least with you thinking you know who dun it. There is some amature detective work, police involvement, and romance thrown in as well. It all comes together for an enjoyable listen/read.Which scene was your favorite?
The snowball fight sounded like a pretty cool completion. I think that would have to be my favorite scene. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Absolutely. There were a couple of those moments. When we learn why she is after this man she believes is guilty of murder and when the police chief of Christmas goes to talk to the man that was charged with the murders.Any additional comments?
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator was very good and the storyline engaging. If you like thrillers/mystery with some romance thrown in, I think you will enjoy "Silent Night".Not so holy night...

Above Average But Still Too Predictable

This was a good story about Miranda following the trail of a serial killer to a small town where Tucker was the Chief of Police. Needless to say, there was instant attraction but things kept getting in the way of them doing anything about that attractive, like a missing teenager, then the Mayor’s son who was found with a cross carved into his forehead and numbers scratched into his stomach.
The book just got better and better as it went along. One dramatic thing happening after another, all the while with Miranda and Tucker getting closer and closer and she always interfering with his investigation with her ideas as to who the killer was.
Did it have to be 384 pages? No, not really. It did seem to drag here and there but I’m glad I read it. Not only was it a very good mystery/serial killer story but it was a great romance, too. There was lots of desire throughout the book, until they did their “thing” but the romance never overpowered the mystery.
What amazed me most about this book was that people actually slept. There was not page after page of night after night with the hero or heroine lying in bed awake because their mind wouldn’t calm down. I can’t tell you how refreshing it was to read where people slept. Too many authors love to have sleepless MC’s in their books and that’s totally ridiculous in my opinion.
There was explicit sex and the F-bomb was used 35 times.
As to the narration: Marguerite Gavin did a fine job. She did sound manly and that’s all I can ask from a woman narrator.
Good read and good narration..
