About this listen

Just friends. We're just friends. No, really. She's just my best friend....

Arizona Turner has been my best friend since fourth grade, even when we hated each other. We've been there for one another through first kisses and first times, and we've been each other's constant when good relationships turned bad. (We even went to colleges that were minutes away from each other.) Throughout the years, and despite what anyone says, we've never crossed the line. Never thought about it. Never wanted to...until one night changed everything. At least, it should've....

Just friends. We're just friends. I'm only saying this until I figure out if she's still just my best friend....

Loved the audio!

I have to say that even though I willingly and somewhat eagerly opted to review this book, I was also nervous because I haven't always had the best of luck with an audio version.

I am more than happy to report that this audio version was complete awesome sauce. There were two narrators, male and female, to represent each point of view and both of them did an awesome job. They really brought the book to life, giving the characters unique and individual voices. And they took fantastic Source material and just added another element of perfection.

As for the story, this was my second read-through of the book. Not only did I listen to the audio book, I read along with it. I love Carter and Arizona just as much the second time around as I did the first. They have such a great friendship and such amazing chemistry that they are by far one of my favorite book couples ever!

Awwww.

This book was touching. It made you laugh and cry. Their relationship was so cute and then blossomed into love. Real love. This book will definitely pull in the heart strings. Good job Whitney G.

Sincerely, Lovestruck Listener!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES! Joseph started out narrating Carter's POV and suck me in immediately with his voice acting. And then Jennifer's narrating style was equally engaging.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sincerely, Carter?

There were so many moments, but I'll choose the EPIC party makeout scene.

Have you listened to any of Joseph Discher and Jennifer O'Donnell ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Both narrators were new to me, but I'm adding them to my list of MUST-LISTEN narrators. Joseph was fantastic at doing very unique and distinct male voices like Josh and the janitor at Ari and Carter’s high school. Really, both narrators hooked me in immediately while I was out running errands and listening to Ari and Carter’s love story play out. This is now one of my favorite, I-MUST-REREAD/RELISTEN audiobooks.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely. Running errands and exercising seemed to fly by while I listened to this novel.

Any additional comments?

I loved this best-friends-turned-lovers couple so much that I wasn’t quite ready to leave their world. Fortunately, coming up next is more Ari and Carter goodness in the extended epilogue entitled SINCERELY, ARIZONA, currently available as a free e-book download at the time of this review post.

Charming, sexy, addicting!

Arizona and Carter have been best friends since 4th grade. For years they have been a support to one another through all their "firsts", and everything else. They have never considered crossing the friend line even through all of high school and college. Somewhat suddenly, they begin to view each other in a different light and after one night where they do cross the line things get tricky.

I've read a lot of friends-to-lovers books, and this one really stood out for me. I got hooked quickly and couldn't stop reading after I started. I loved that this wasn't one of those books where the characters have always been completely in love with one another or where one of the friends has been pining for the other in an unrequited fashion. Arizona and Carter are genuine friends, and I absolutely loved their friendship. The flashes back to their interactions throughout grade school and high school are really great, and it just made everything that followed between them even better. Arizona is a cool chick. She has her quirks, but is definitely someone I would enjoy being friends with. Carter is a sexy man, and that sexiness is only enhanced by the way he interacts with Arizona. The physical chemistry between them was completely sexy and intense. The tension and anxiety as they attempted to deal with their various feelings and the complexity of their situation added to my addiction to the story. This is one of those stories where I was thinking about the characters when I wasn't listening to the book, and couldn't wait to get back to it and continue the story. I will absolutely read more by this author in the future.

The narration was great! I thought both narrators really helped flesh out both Arizona and Carter and no matter which narrator was reading the book, I was completely engrossed in the story. I would absolutely recommend listening to the audio version of this book.

I have this list of books, romance books, out of the hundreds in my Audible/Kindle collection that I listen or read over and over and over again. Which book I listen to depends on my mood. Some of these books I enjoy because they make me laugh but most of them have a story that I just love. There is another list within a list of books. Books I bought 1st on Kindle but loved the so much I purchased it again on Audible and vice versa. Within that even smaller list is Sincerely Carter, Most Valuable Playboy, Forget you Ethan, 30 Day Boyfriend, Bet Me and Two Weeks Notice. Just realized 4 of these 6 titles belong to Whitney G.

Best of Whitney G's books!

I've read most of her books, and this is by far my favorite. The audio book is terrific, especially the two narrators, plot very good, moves quickly, likeable characters... all that we want in a good romance!

Sincerely, Carter (Sincerely Carter, #1)

Any additional comments?

I read Sincerely, Carter last October and had a BLAST reading it! So when the opportunity to listen to the story on audio came up for a blog tour, I jumped on it. Why? Because I haven't read two more fun people in a very long time. I was so thoroughly entertaining by Carter and Arizona that I have already re-read the book AND listened to it in audio.
This audio book was perfection. I am so glad that Whitney G. decided to use both a female and male narrator because it just added to the fun. Nothing brings an audio book down more than trying to pass a male narrator as female and vice versa. Jennifer O'Donnell made an excellent Arizona and Joseph Discher was an absolute perfect Carter! They were both exactly as I had envisioned them to be when I first read this book! They didn't miss a single beat when it came to the chemistry that Arizona and Carter had. Their friendship and love and comradery was portrayed perfectly thru their voices. I've taken note of these two narrators and will be looking for more work by them in the future!
As for the story itself .... #flawless :)
