Fantastic Story + Narrator

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The story is full of Highlanders, magic, mystery and of course romance. James and Catriona were a fantastic couple and they had a great supporting cast of characters. My favorite character had to be the old dogs of James and Alasdair. I enjoyed the scowls, muttered oaths, dark looks, fisted hands on hips from James. He was a gruff one and I enjoyed every bit of it. Also, Sue-Ellen Welfonder is a fantastic author and her stories have a way of drawing the reader (or listener) in. The narrator, Jill Tanner was awesome as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. My only disappointment is that the other two books are not on audiobook.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sins of a Highland Devil?

The battle scene (I can not to go into detail without giving spoilers).

Which scene was your favorite?

When James was in the hall giving his speech and Catriona walked in and threw down the gauntlet.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES. I listened to it in less than a day.

Any additional comments?

Amazing!!! Should be a movie.

This book is so well written. The author articulates her thoughts vibrantly and beautifully. Unbelievable descriptive details allow you to visualize in your mind's eye a mystical and magical glen in the Scottish highlands. Filled with fantasy, passion, romance, and highland honor. With playful interludes between leading characters, James and Catriona, then scorching heat sizzling between these two, you fall in love with them. Neither one willing to admit how they feel, yet they can't take their eyes off each other. The minute they see one another, passion ignites and your own heart thumps louder. That is how powerfully moving this story is. Filled with anticipation and unexpected surprises throughout. Everything is connected and brought to an enthralling, climactic moment, bringing tears of joy to my eyes. This story is utterly amazing. Sue-Ellen Welfonder has an incredible talent. This should be made into a movie. Narrator Jill Tanner performed the characters very well.
A must read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

its a good solid story.

The banter between the H /h was enjoyable. I could have done without the heartless battle required by the king.

Such an intriguing premise!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the performance, and would have given it a full 5 stars with one exception, which was a simple story line that really stretched my beliefs in it happening!! But it was still a book I enjoyed and am so glad I read, now on to the rest of the series!!!
