About this listen

Danica and Kaylie Snow are about to celebrate the biggest day of their lives - their double wedding - on an island in the Bahamas. But no wedding is complete without a little family drama. The two sisters aren't ready to face the father they haven't seen since he divorced their mother and moved away to marry his mistress and live with Lacy, the half sister they've never met.

While Danica has exchanged letters and phone calls with Lacy, Kaylie has fervently tried to pretend she doesn't exist. Lacy is sweet, fun, and nearly a mirror image of Kaylie. To make matters worse, not only is Lacy looking forward to meeting her sisters, but she idolizes them, too. As the countdown to the wedding date ticks on, their parents are playing a devious game of revenge, and there's a storm brewing over the island, threatening to cancel their perfect wedding. The sisters are about to find out if the bond of sisterhood really trumps all.

I have read the first two and have to say this is

Any additional comments?

Getting married on an island in the Bahamas is a dream come true for both Danica and Kaylie Snow. Expecting some family drama when their father and his wife, who was his mistress during his marriage to their mother, and their daughter, who Danica and Kaylie had never met, brought on a whole island worth of family drama.

With that parents playing games and keeping secrets, along with the storm that is expected to hit the island on the day of the wedding this maybe the wedding no one ever forgets.

Sisters in White is the third book in this series. I have read the first two and have to say this is my favorite. With each book I love the characters more and more. As Melissa Foster introduces more of the family into each book, I have the need to know more about the family.

The sisters in this series are real people with feelings and reactions that the reader can relate to. They are women that I would hope I would be friends with and share stories with.

With a tease of what is to come in the fourth book I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Knowing that the Braden's story is what I have to look forward to will keep me anxiously awaiting the release. I highly recommend this book and the whole series to all my fellow chic lit readers.

When one ends another begins

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Sisters in White is the ending of the Snow sisters being the main characters. In true Melissa factor this book didn't disappoint. We get to meet the Braden's. From there this whole world is opened up.
Danica and Kaylie will always hold a special place as they were my first characters that's made me fall in love with Melissa as an author.
Onto the audiobook. As in the other audiobooks I've listened to by Melissa, BJ does a great job. He picked up on the emotions and inflections of the characters and their feelings. His voice is also very soothing. Can't wait to listen to the next one.

weddings are not always perfect

What could go wrong does go wrong with an island destination wedding. These sisters inwhitw find that after years of preparation there are still some things that cannot be planned for. We get to see the two happy couples find that sometimes life dishes out its own brand of reality. A new sister, a bit forgotten father, a little payback from cheating, bonding friendships, bonding sisters, great cousins, wonderful assistance, and then there were friends and extended family.

Love this Series!

I loved the lead up to the weddings of Danica and Kaylie and their handsome husband's to be. I love Blake's family and how they made sure the weddings happened despite the weather. Seeing Danica and Kaylie go through everything with their father and his wife and daughter as well as their mother was messy at times but I'm glad they were able to make their way through things. I really loved the connections and characters in this story and can't wait to listen to the next book. The narration was good. I would definitely recommend this audiobook.

Reunited Sisterhood is Heartwarming

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This author writes a very down-to-earth story. Melissa Foster knows how to grip the listener/reader and gives the real heartwrenching truth about family relationships. She shows how the romance between two people can overcome some of the most trying family relationships. However, she shows how working through your issues is better than letting them grow without addressing them. Loved this third story in a great series. The narrator did a great job with the characters, their emotions and their personalities. So looking forward to the next story.

Sisters in White

This is a story about forgiveness, past hurts and fear of the unknown.

As Danica and Kaylie prepare for their double wedding, they must also deal with seeing their father, stepmother and half-sister. As they navigate past hurts with their father, Danica is quick to accept Lacy as their sister; Kaylie, not so much. With unexpected weather, family secrets and the fear of the unknown, will either of the sisters make it down the aisle.

A great story ending to the Love In Bloom trilogy.

hiighlights the relationships between the sisters

AudioBook Review:
Stars: Overall 4 Narration 4 Story 4

Melissa Foster brings the story around to the double wedding for Danica and Kaylie, and each sister reacts to their family dynamic and issues just as we would expect. Danica is the “get along and make it work’ sister, determined to do the right thing. Kaylie would far prefer to have all the attention and ignore anything that takes away from her shine, or causes her to look more deeply at her own buried issues.

See, the girls’ father left when they were young, he remarried and started a new family. Now they have a fabulous destination double wedding planned, and Danica (being the good girl) invites her father, his wife and their half-sister Lacey. Of course, Danica wanting to keep the peace, and Kaylie still holding on to those resentments and anger al play into the story: and more often than not, Lacey is the one who gets the angry teenager from Kaylie.

Oh this was fun – the shifting alliances, the maelstrom of emotions always bubbling below the surface in every family gathering are only heightened when you add in someone thought to have done ‘wrong’, in this case the father who’s affair led to him leaving the family to start another.

Emotional with plenty of moments that highlight the interactions, the boys do take a more supporting role. This is, no doubt about it, a story that highlights the sisters’ relationships, their interactions and how they settle the past before grabbing hold of their futures. It’s never one clear path to the reconciliations, and as with life, everything isn’t neat and clean – but it’s entertaining as hell, with a few steamy moments, plenty of emotion and an actual ending that leaves everyone smiling.

Narration is again provided by B.J. Harrison, and he’s done a lovely job in keeping the characters distinct and unique, using pacing and small variations in pitch and tone to distinguish them. Never over-reaching for a ‘female voice’ yet sounding wholly appropriate for each character, his presentation is clear and appropriate, gently guiding readers through the story, allowing the emotion, characters and words to present themselves.
