Intriguing Mysteries!

I have no idea why other reviewers had such overwhelming negative reviews because of the AI voice provided. Yes, it had an English accent, yes, a few words were not pronounced correctly, but dang, who cares; give them a break! The plot and overall building of each of the mysteries by the author were interesting and the characters and their beliefs grew with the telling of each mystery. I enjoyed each mystery and the clues leading up to their capture.
Giving an author such condemning reviews is overtly harmful and unkind. Especially if it’s the NARRATOR that one takes issue with.
I suggest reviewers who are going to whine about the preference and selection of their narrator, need to just read the book instead of listening to the audiobook.

Virtual Voice Does Not Match Story

I have listened to many books that utilize virtual voice. This one was NOT good.

The narration utilized a British accent and British English. (sachets instead of tea bags, stone instead of pounds for weight, etc.) The main character was from Wisconsin and the story takes place in Florida...both in the United states. More care needs to be taken when matching narration to a book.

The stories were enjoyable, but marred by the British narration. I am sure the author would be disappointed by this "match'. If this had not been such a poor choice, I would have given it 5 stars across the board.

poor narration

British accent for characters who SHOULD have Midwest and florida accents. British slang..really? mispronunciation of words, one book had the pronunciation of the abbreviation for P.I. as pie, multiple times and British pronunciation of other words. bad choice on the publishers end.

Beats hearing the regular radio at work

It's a decent story line, but why would someone base a story in a country they are not familiar with? They have locations line Minnesota and most of it's in Florida, but the virtual voice and the terminology is all British (hint: America doesn't have "councils") which I think could have been overcome if they had mentioned the main character recently came from England, but that's not how it was. Very strange.

After that, the characters are easy to understand and like (or dislike) and the story is entertaining.

Don't use the Vitrual voice.

There were too many British words used for a southern Florida place. Stone instead of pounds, words pronounced wrong for American English. if you're going to write about a place use the verbiage for that area.
