Ira Levin
A chilling psychological thriller that explores the menacing evil behind the glittering facades of Manhattan's skyscrapers.
Kay Norris, a successful and lovely book editor, moves into the posh Carnegie Hall district of Manhattan, into an apartment in a slender high-rise. A man watches her. He watches her unpack, watches her make her bed. He owns the building: A shocking secret is concealed within its brick and concrete.
Sliver is a sinuous erotic thriller, a hypnotic story of obsession, suspense, and stunning surprises. It is a novel about the ultimate power, and the temptations the use of that power brings.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I had expected a better story line given this book was written by the famous Ira Levin. But the story line is unbelievably predictable and drags on too much. The boring narration does not help either. If you have insomnia, this book is a perfect sleeping pill for you.Has Sliver turned you off from other books in this genre?
Yes, so far I have read two books by Ira Levin. I will discontinue my interest in his books after this one.Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Soneela Nankani?
Either Jeffwoodman or Tom Taylorson or Paul Boehmer would narrate better than Soneela Nankani! You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
None whatsoever!Disappointing story line and boring narration
