About this listen

Three best friends who've grown up together encounter some of the real tests of manhood.

All's good for James and Cathy until a woman shows up with James' love child. Suave Brent thinks he's found happiness with a born-again churchgoer - until another leads him into temptation. And longtime friend Sonny is going to need help from James and Brent if he's to have any hope of salvaging his marriage.

New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber amps up the sexiness and pulse-quickening drama in this riveting novel.

Critic reviews

"A raucous 'desperate husbands' story line, co-starring crazy baby mamas, shady churchgoers, and various deranged personalities, ups the conflict quotient significantly." (Publishers Weekly)

Good book!

This book was amazing! they story line had so many twists I wasn't prepared for. The narration was a little slow but that's probably because I'm a fast reader. overall it was really good. highly recommended if you're into dramatic stories

Oh! My! What a surprise this novel was...not just the ending, but every chapter!

Loved I couldn’t predict the turn of events and just when you fall in love with a character, you immediately realize you don’t have a clue!

The twist of events

I didn't like the ending of the story it was rushed and the rest of the story was long and drawn out.

Can't stop listening to this audiobook!

WOW! Carl Weber does an excellent job again. Definitely an easy read( well, I listened as I drive). Part I kept me in suspense, as the author moved from character to character. It was like listening to the soap operas! You can't wait to see what is going to happen next. I found myself talking to my TomTom as I drove because of this book. The only problem or thing that I didnt like was the narrators voices as women. It sort of contorted the intensity of what some of the lady characters.
