About this listen

Dr. Kasen Phillips has the magic touch when it comes to helping his patients who are in dire need of counseling services, but when the love of his life winds up missing in action, Kasen's life takes a horrific turn for the worse.

His office manager, Voncile Harper, is there to lend a helping hand. She's on a mission to shake Kasen from his misery by offering him her sweet heat, which he can't resist. It's not long before Kasen finds himself caught up in a web of Voncile's lies, and when he realizes that he may have bitten off more than he can chew, he wants out of their reckless relationship for good.

Unfortunately for Kasen, walking away may be difficult to do. Voncile is deep in love, and any man who refuses to play by her rules may be forced to suffer dire consequences.

It was a very well written book. The twist was given away very early but that didn't take away the quality of it.

Pretty good story line. The narration could have been better for the men's parts. I got use to it. Looking for part 2.

Good Story Line

Ecellent book! The narrator was great. I didn't want it to end and I look forward to the sequel.

I was invested, beginning to end. I loved the narrators voice inflictions. Two of my favorite authors in an amazing collaboration ❤️

Great story

Perhaps there was potential, but the reading was deplorable. The accents were horrible. And, the storyline was mediocre at best. I’m sorely disappointed in this read. I never read urban fiction. Idk if I’ll read any again in the near future.

Nope!

I really like this author. I'll be reading more of his and her books. Characters were really good as were the narrators.

Alot of twist and turns

This was a great read even though the ending seemed to lack something. The way the events unfolded were unexpected up until the end.

Ending could be better!

I'm a fan, and I see a bunch of real fans praising this book, but I can't see why. Maybe I'm tired of stalker-thrillers, but this is typical like the others. The narration was horrible, but she did the best she could... nothing irks me worse when listening to Audiobooks than a person acting both sexes. She sounded like she was crying when she acted male parts. I guess it's worth a listen, but I expected something different. He tried his hand at something different,I applaud the effort, but it wasn't good for me.

Worst book by Carl Weber...
