When Charlotte falls pregnant with twins, the pair are overjoyed. And while Charlotte’s heart breaks as she hands them over, her reward is knowing how much happiness the two tiny babies are going to bring into their life.

But are Malcolm and Brenda all they seem? As secrets become unravelled, Charlotte is forced to face that she has given her children to virtual strangers. Loved it!!!!

I really question some of the nitpicking reviews on this story. I thought it was a great read. It sucked me in from the beginning and kept me on my toes to the wonderful ending. There was nothing I didn't like about this book! A++

One issue but good

The story line is great and the twist is WOW, but you can skip the first several chapters as it has nothing to do with the story. Not sure if the author just needed to fill some more pages or what.

Some Good Twists…

The story started a little slow for me, and initially I had some difficulty with the heavy British accent, but the story soon picked up, and I got more used to the accent. Once past the first few chapters that I thought were slow, I found myself being drawn into the story and wanting to know more.

I found the character, Steven, irritating at times; tender and caring minute with his wife, and the next second he was all about the money with the man who was to be the baby’s new father — to the point of almost blowing everything.

About halfway through the story I also found myself thinking how naive the surrogate mom was that she and her husband (Steven), never once gave a single thought to having the adoptive parents checked out. If I were planning to give my baby to a stranger, you can be SURE I would find out every detail I possibly could before making a decision.

There are some good twists and turns toward the end — if I say too much more, I will give everything away.

Overall, I enjoyed the story (I listened to it all in one day). I am not sorry I spent a credit on this book — it was good company as I completed my Saturday chores.

Weak Main character

Main character is weak, nobody would be this naïve. The story overall was entertaining, but unrealistic and not authentic in anyway. However the author is very creative which saved the story.

Pretty good book.

I enjoyed listening to this book. I felt like there was too much repetition and perhaps to much whining, but overall enjoyed it.

Surprising twists

This was an entertaining story that kept me listening when I should have been working. It’s not your typical story.
