About this listen

He will predict your life...and your death.

Don’t ever cross his palm with silver.

He will reveal your most shameful secrets.

He will predict your death.

He is hiding a secret.

He is hiding a monster.

And all his predictions come true.

Investigating a series of chilling murders, Detective Jennifer Knight finds herself tracking a mysterious tarot card reader known only as The Raven.

As the death toll rises, Jennifer and her team build a picture of a serial killer on the edge of sanity, driven by dark forces. But these are not random killings. And the method behind the madness could be the most terrifying thing of all....

Especially when it seems the death of one of their own is on the cards.

Time to Die is an absolutely gripping serial killer thriller with a breathtaking supernatural twist.

Emma Newman did a fine job with narration. I am an avid fan of author Caroline Mitchell. “Time to Die,” however, tended to drag, introducing many characters and subplots; I got lost {{{???}}}, but at 55 minutes left, I finished. All I can say is maybe it just wasn’t my cup o’ tea. I will still look for more by Mitchell. As my editor, dear friend and mentor wisely told me in 1979, “If everyone liked the same things, the world would indeed be a boring one.” RIP Dan Di Leo

Drawn out and disappointing mystery…

I'm so into this series. I'm a tarot card reader myself, and this one had me hooked. Telling the story from separate POV's made it more thrilling. Great story. Great performance.

This one gave me chills ...

I found this book to be intriguing, with a bit of supernatural creeping in. I loved the story and the way the murders unfolded. The characters were very good. The narration was excellent.

I want expecting the ending so it was a cool surprise. I listened out of order and now I'm hoping there is another book in the series.

creepy

Mitchell delves deeper into Jennifer Knight’s world of paranormal abilities. It makes you believe there really could be such a secret task force such as operation moonlight. Right when I thought I had it all figured out I was thrown a completely different ending. As always you’re left with wanting more...needing to hear of Jennifer Knight’s next case. Hopefully this series will continue past just three books!!

Never disappoints

Or a credit, I wish I could have mine back! This is an awful book and the summary is not accurate about what it is. Listened it it on 2 times speed to get it over with.

I rolled my eyes through a lot of the story. A lot of reviewers mentioned it was "creepy", but it certainly didn't have that effect on me. The romance was so middle school & childish, and the parts meant to be "creepy" were unbelievable. It's not that I don't believe in the possibility of someone having psychic/medium abilities. That's not it at all. It's the way the talent was portrayed that was unbelievable. The overall predictability of the plot had me feeling like I was listening to one of the free/Audible plus catalog listens. I did purchase this as part of a 2 for 1 sale, but I still spent actual money on it that I wish I hadn't. The narrators voice was very high pitched at times, and that started grinding on my nerves after an hour or 2. I only write reviews when I feel strongly one way or the other, so my hope is this review will help someone who is on the fence about spending the money.

It all seemed a little silly & unbelievable to me.

This story just went on and on. In ways it did not need to. I kept listening with the hope of an ending that would make it all worthwhile. Very disappointed

Anticlimactic ending
