About this listen

A phone call in the middle of the night forces Detective Gabriel Wyatt out of his warm bed and into the frigid night to identify the body of a murdered man whose wallet contains Gabe’s business card instead of an ID. That night sets off a chain of events that chills Gabe to his bones when it appears the killer has set his eyes on a new target: Josh Roman.

Josh comes face-to-face with a painful reminder of his past just when he’s ready to acknowledge that his feelings for Gabe go way beyond liking the man. How can he trust that his feelings for Gabe are right when before, he’d always been so wrong?

Will Josh and Gabe finally acknowledge that what they have is something to live for, or will they allow danger and doubts to destroy their chance at something amazing?

Something to Dye For is audiobook two in the Curl Up and Dye Mysteries series. These audiobooks are made to be listened to in order. They contain sexually explicit material and are intended for adults 18 and older.

Another great one

I simply adore Gabe and Josh! And Joel Leslie does a great job of bringing them to life every time. These guys are one of my absolute favorite fictional couples of any kind.

Still loving this series!!

These two guys together are sweet and hilarious at the same time. I so wish the rest of the series was available on Audible. Switching to Kindle now but hope they finish the series in audio; the narrator does a great job.

Fantastic

This is another entertaining and nuanced performance from Joel Leslie, and a story that will leave you wanting the next immediately. Josh and Gabe’s story continues in this second installment of the Curl Up and Dye series. It is fun, sexy, and sweet, with a good dose of mystery and more of the realities of small-town life in Blissville. The Nate Turner case is getting more interesting by the chapter, and even though I’ve read these books several times, I am still eagerly awaiting the rest of the series to be released in audio. Joel Leslie nails the personalities of the two MCs in his portrayal of them - I don’t think anyone else could have brought Josh and Gabe and the rest of this cast of characters to life in such an all-around successful and endearing way. All the stars!

Finally!!!!

I have been waiting for this series to continue in audiobook format for what feels like years!! (Probably just a little bit less than that) Josh and Gabe are such wonderful characters and they truly do develop and evolve as their relationship continues. I was so sad when the Road to Blissville series continued to release because it is sort of like watching a tv series minus the main couple’s romantic plot line . Joel Leslie is wonderful as always. I read the series before I downloaded the first book and I am so happy that series is finally releasing again.

The second book feels like the real start of Josh’s and Gabe's relationship. Although that word is banned through half of the book. It is really enjoyable to see them have amazing sexy times, do cute and romantic activities, (meet the parents, say I love you, and even have nicknames that lack snark for each other) all in the midst of yet another mystery. Family and friends continue to be an amazing center for this series and I really recommend listening/reading beyond this book because the characters just keep getting better.

Big Daddy's Home

The Curl Up and Dye series isn’t new to me. I started to read it a few years ago. The first couple of books were… well, flawed. Not in terms of content, but the editing left a little to be desired. But I fell for Josh and Gabe and not to forget Savage. So I kept with the series and now I might just be a fan for life.

It’s in the middle of the night when Gabe gets a call out to a murder scene, but he wasn’t called strictly as a detective. Not only was it out of his jurisdiction, but the victim was found carrying Gabe’s business card in his wallet. Not long after that threatening notes and “gifts” starts arriving at the station, in Josh’s home and even to the local news room. As if that wasn’t enough ghosts from Josh’s past arrives and dregs up painful memories and feelings.

I’ve loved going back to the beginning with these guys, to be reminded of where it all began, the struggles, fears, watching them fall in love all over again. To see Josh starting to trust Gabe, taking a leap into a relationship. I love how they love each other, took care of each other – meeting the family. We really see them move forward.

The mystery is not resolved in this book and that part kind of ends on a cliffhanger. For those of you (me included) that like to have answers when the book ends, this might just make you a little nuts, especially if you wait for the next audiobook to be produced and released.

It’s no surprise that Joel Leslie did a fantastic job narrating this story. The voices, accents, pacing and feels is there just like we’ve all come to expect. I do wish he’d really go nuts with Savage’s voice, but alas you can’t get everything. I do love his voice for Josh. It’s spot on and fits with his character. It has the sass, the flair and impersonates everything that makes Josh, Josh.

This is a series that definitely should be enjoyed in audio, and if you haven’t already, go back and start at the beginning because you don’t want to miss a single second of Gabe and Josh.

Ahhhhh love me some Josh and Gabe!

I LOVE this little cosy mystery series from Aimee Nicole Walker! Gabe and Josh are just total relationship goals, and what I love about this one especially is that they really are just completely in love with each other, open to their "something" being a real relationship, and start blending their lives together. Josh has sass to spare, and Gabe is an out and proud detective and I just love that about both of them - neither are hiding who they are, and they're just perfect together.

Fans of small-town mystery, plenty of humor and snark, and friends that are family will enjoy this series from this author!
