Rare Five Star

This series garners a rare 5 stars from this reader. No fake boyfriends or overused plot lines, just a series of great whodonits and believable protagonists.

Good books

Pretty well written, engaging characters. But I will never understand why someone thought it was a good idea to have Troy McClure narrate!

Very suspensful and interesting.

One of the best series of books! The stories and plots were fresh, exciting and very interesting. It was hard to put down. It left one wanting to solve the mysteries and solve the riddles. Great murder, mystery plots that keeps one engaged until the end. The strong, gay, leads and the culturally diverse supporting characters added a great deal to the stories and overall appeal. A must listen to series! 😊

Thriller: Home and Office

This series is much more than just romance. It is a detective mystery/thriller with a love story behind it. Nice balance!

excellently written

The stories were all both entertaining and titillating. I love mysteries and romances these stories satisfied both genres.

loved the books...not so much the narrator

I really loved these books. Locke and Key are the perfect partners on and off the force. however the narrator sounded like the voice over in a cheesy redramatized true crime show. It was seriously distracting.

Detectives, Politics, Crime & Romance

Enjoyed the bundled set of Zero Hour 1-3 very much. Royce and Sawyer worked together well to solve murder and arson cases, and forged a relationship along the way. Very entertaining sex scenes. Good humor, very human behaviors, and a multitude of interesting characters round out a good set of stories.
Tristan James has little differentiation in his voices and I frequently lost track of whose POV was being narrated. Good modulation and cadence makes him an okay narrator in my opinion.

love this series but

the narrator's portrayal of Southern twang is horrible. The main characters weren't too bad, but everyone else sounded like the chief on in the heat of the night, including the female side characters. It's like he picked one accent for all the side characters, except Rocky who has a really bad Northern accent, and stuck with it.

I highly recommend the Kindle version but will not be listening to any other books on audible by this narrator.
