About this listen

Just when feisty, full-figured Savannah Reid's life seems calm and peaceful, her spoiled, egocentric baby sister comes knocking. Atlanta is determined to become a star, and the Miss Gold Coast Beauty Pageant is her first step. Savannah's alarmed at Atlanta's growing obsession with her appearance. She blames it on the beauty pageant...where the competition has become so fierce that someone's been driven to murder.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Probably, the book continues the series. I liked most of the past books in the series better than this one. I don't like the weakness that comes out when Savannah deals with her sibling. Just don't like the snotty screw you attitude of the sister. I spent most of the time saying grow up already.

If you’ve listened to books by G. A. McKevett before, how does this one compare?

I have only listened to the Savannah Reid Series so these are the only one's that I can compare to. I do like the series. I do like the writing. Each story has it's own strengths and weaknesses.

Which character – as performed by Dina Pearlman – was your favorite?

In this book Savannah definitely stands out.

Was Sour Grapes worth the listening time?

Yes though I wish the storyline was a bit stronger. Maybe on the re-listen I'll appreciate it better.
