About this listen

Emily

I fell in love with him when I was 14. Under the stars, he told me he loved me, and under the stars, we promised to love each other always. But under the stars, he broke my heart by walking away.

He left me without a second glance. I was just an afterthought. Now he's back, but this time, I'm not falling for his Southern charm.

Maybe.

It’s time I get my happily ever after, even if part of me wishes he was still mine.

Ethan

I found out on my 21st birthday that everything I thought I knew was a lie, that the man I had grown up thinking was my father wasn't.

The pain I felt blinded me, making it impossible to hear what anyone said. I left them all behind, including her, my best friend and the woman I was going to marry.

Five years later, I'm back, only to find the woman I still love has another man's ring on her finger.

She’s going to marry my best friend unless I stop her. And this time, I only have until sunrise to change her mind.

Just so beautiful! ❤️

This was such a raw and beautiful story of homecoming and reconciliation. I don’t usually cry during books, but I bawled my eyes out several times while listening to this one. I loved all the books in the series, but this one was my favorite one by far. Absolutely heart wrenching in the best possible way. Stop reading these reviews and go read or listen to it right now! 😊

Absolutely LOVED Emily & Ethan’s story

This is a beautifully written story of second chances; beating the odds and finding who you are and what your place in the world is. This book keeps you on your toes, It’s one of those stories you never want to end. It was truly a breath-taking five-star read. Brian Palino & Morais Almeida are amazing narrators and do a wonderful job portraying & bringing the characters to life. Do yourself a favor and pick this up, you won’t regret it!

Omgosh

Oh my goodness, this was such an amazing story. Reading them in order really helped but I have listen to the first one I would say probably 17 times the last time I counted anyways so it was about time I got to this one I kept putting it off. I don’t know why and I’m glad I listen to this now because it was awesome. I kind of was thinking for a while there what in the world could they do to make the story even better because the ones ahead of it was so awesome, and Natasha absolutely outdid herself because the last chapter brought the tears on. The neat thing about Natasha’s writing is just when you think you don’t remember who that person was in the series suddenly, your reminder than just the most minute way, of course, the narration was amazing.

That feeling when you hear ‘the end’ and you don’t want it to be!!

I’ve been invested in this series since book one and was eagerly anticipating the story of grownup Ethan...the boy who started it all. After finding out the truth of his parentage, 20 yo Ethan walks away from his family...and the love of his life. After a life altering experience, it’s 5 years later and Ethan has returned home. Earning his family’s forgiveness and trust is easy, sort of, but Emily’s? Considering that Emily’s engaged to his former best friend, Ethan has his work cut out for him. Beautiful wrap this series...or is it? No spoilers...hehehe.

I wish it could be as simple as this

I liked the story. I wish it could be as simple as this to just forgive, forget and put faith in a persons word and worth just because he waltz back into her life - specially after five years of radio silence!

PSA: Do not read while driving. I have the book version, but hearing the heartbreak affected me greatly.
