About this listen
I am a spiritual inspirational writer, and I realized that as a child the subject of one's spirit or spirituality was never openly discussed. I believe that our lives are indeed spiritual journeys of learning and of spiritual awakening. So I decided to create a children's book that would explain the subject of spirit to them, and Sparkly You and Me was born.
Sparkly You and Me is a book that should be heard together. I know your child will have many questions and ideas, and I believe that it is an exciting journey that you won't want to miss.
Sparkly You and Me is told by a young girl named Star Brightly in words that children can easily understand. As children listen to Sparkly You and Me, they will learn how their spirits love to dream and create. They will learn how sharing their creations brings joy to others. Most importantly they will learn how important it is to help others, whether it is someone in their family, a friend, a neighbor, or in their community.
The last chapter in the book explains how they can create their own Sparkly Spirit Books, which will contain their dreams, their creations, ways that they can enjoy nature, their ideas for helping others, their ideas for class projects, and ideas on how to help protect the environment.
They will learn how we are all connected and how small acts of kindness can bring great big smiles to so many people! That's what Sparkly You and Me is all about - bringing great big smiles to all those we touch.... Enjoy the journey!

This is a book about discovering what we really need. There are a lot of second-best options, but we weren't made to live a second-best life. Reading aloud not only has the power to change a family—it has the power to change the world. But we all know that connecting deeply with our families can be difficult in our busy, technology-driven society. Reading aloud is one of the best ways to be fully present with our children, even after they can read themselves, but it isn't always easy to do.

However, there is a twirl where busy schedules and urgency create a different and unwanted variety of dizzy in our lives. Though hurry-up is part of the human dilemma and certain seasons bring more of it than others, if it becomes a lifestyle you might find yourself on the slippery slopes of bitterness, sadness, and depression.

Story
Throw Out Fifty Things is truly an eye-opener. According to Blanke, our lives are so filled with junk from the past—from dried up tubes of crazy glue to old grudges—that's it's a wonder we can get up in the morning, never mind go to work, care for our children and parents, and just put one foot in front of the other. Blanke wants to start a movement of people across America throwing out 50 things (magazines count as one!) that will help liberate us from the stuff—both physical and mental—that clutters our lives.
