About this listen

After the turmoil in Kerube, Lawrence and his companions make for the Kingdom of Winfiel across the sea. Their destination is the great abbey of Brondel, said to hold the wolf bones they seek. Arriving in the kingdom, they hear tell that the abbey, normally prosperous due to its great wool trade, has fallen into a financial crisis. Worse, the most powerful economic force in the world—the Ruvik Alliance—is entering the kingdom with its eye upon the abbey's land holdings...

A delightful story

This volume was more of a self contained story. A side adventure on their journey, time to rest and gather strength for the up coming adventures.

wonderfully cute. Though the two readers are occasionally on different pages.

No real complaints here. the story is wonderful just as the others were. if theres one thing to nitpick its that theres a couple times where the two readers seem on slightly opposite edges of the emotional spectrum. But I dont expect voice actor level performances from a $15 book.

Top quality audio rendition of the 10th novel

Superbly put together audiobook that is loyal to the story in the original light novels. Delivered by both J. Michael Tatum and Brina Palencia, who voiced the english dub for Kraft Lawrence and Holo in both the original anime and the new one.
The voice actors deliver a part of a chapter each, switching every now and then, which makes the story very pleasant to listen to. They both take great care to distinguish different character voices in their delivery, a fact that I found endearing - as for example the delivery by Mr. Tatum, the voice of Lawrence, voicing the dialogue by Holo makes it naturally sound as if it was Lawrence, trying to mimic Holo - I can easily imagine such a situation occuring in one of their numerous playful arguments.

My perhaps only remark is that the original mistakes or various inconsistencies from the original novel are also present in the audiobook rendition, but this itself makes it so faithful to the original written novel.
