Fantastic series

Would absolutely love to visit Keating Hollow the author has a way of making you feel as you belong in the story with all the other characters. Yvette's story came across as so real and a wonderful love story. The Narrator does a great with this book as she has done with the previous ones.

Love Keating Hollow!

Another outstanding book by Deanna Chase brought to life by Gabra Zackman. Yvette and Jacob's story show two people searching for peace after being betrayed by those closest to them. True to form, I felt like I was there in Keating Hollow, being part of Yvette's and Jacob's lives. Feeling the new love excitement, the fear for a sick loved one, and amazed at their strength to find forgiveness in their hearts. Spirit of the Witch has you feeling the roller coaster emotions of life, while you hope and pray that Yvette and Jacob can get their HEA.

Almost My Favorite, Almost Ruined

I dove into this third installment immediately after finishing Heart of the Witch having loved the teaser final chapter for this book. And well into halfway through this volume things were cruising along easily establishing this as my favorite so far in the series. Yvette is a fun confident, take no nonsense woman, having just been left by her husband for another man and now reeling from just having her first one night stand with a new guy in town who just happens to be....her new business partner at her book store, Jacob Burton. There was tons of comedy, flirtation, and drama abounding as always in Keating Hollow along with plenty of family interactions and the ongoing concerns about the Townsend sisters' father, Lincoln, who is still battling cancer. It is nice to see the other sisters and female friends from around Keating Hollow interacting and having fun as well as offering support as each woman navigates their own highs and lows. The story was almost soured for me by some predictable and reality defying conflict that arises around Jacob. I know we are already having suspension of belief because well hey magic but some of the things regarding Jacob's struggles left me shaking my head. Thankfully the way things finally come to light around these issues were actually the least predictable aspect so far in the whole series and saved my opinion of the tale. I really enjoy Keating Hollow, the sisters, and the community. We always get the happily ever after, though at times this can seem to have audiences hand waving over some deeper relationship dynamics--so no matter the behavior it's often the case that once there is a justification all is forgiven and everything is good. But overall I think Yvette and Jacob had the best chemistry so far. The book is entirely G rated no crazy sexy scenes here just the typical discussions of a kiss that leaves one on fire and weak in the knees. One interesting break from pattern however was the last chapter stayed with Yvette and Jacob and did not set up with the POV of the protagonist for the next book which I will acknowledge caught me off guard as I always enjoy this bridging and set up of the next story. Overall Gabra's dramatic narration continues to strike the perfect tone for this witchy melodrama. Those who have followed the series are sure to be pleased.

Sample narration first

Narrator used a too masculine voice for lead female. At times it was hard to tell if it was the main female or male speaking. I have read first 2 books in this series and wished I had not chosen the audible version for #3.

These are truly feel good reads. I found myself smiling, talking to the characters and scolding them at times.

Another winner in this series.

Wedding hookups. Workplace romance. Never a good start, right? You might just change your mind after listening to this one.

Ms. Chase's world of a small town of witches--not your evil kind--these are small town people who support each other, live pretty normal lives with just a little magic to liven things up. I love each of the sisters who are very different but each with a personality you have to love. They tease, support, and love their father and each other.

Yvette's husband (almost ex) has left her for someone else. She is devastated to lose her best friend and husband. In order to keep her beloved bookstore open she has to accept a business partner to buy out her ex. They have handled all the details long distance. The first time she meets him isn't actually their first meeting. They spent the night together after his sister's wedding. Circumstances with name mixups prevented them from realizing the connection.

A rocky start changes when they begin communicating. Can they keep their feelings separate from their business? Drawing a line doesn't always keep you from crossing over. I was thrilled with their relationship changes, sad when trouble seemed to keep them apart, and cheered them on when things began to change.

The family dynamic was a joy as well. Looks like another sister down. Can't wait for number four.

This was just a pleasure from start to finish. The narrator was really good, not over the top but enough to distinguish the different characters. The storyline was wonderful. You'll enjoy this one, not too long, but enough depth to love the characters.

A great read

Poor Yvette! Gosh, so much has gone wrong for her, but what a story of redemption and perseverance! I loved Jacob and was totally exciting about this storyline. It might have been my favorite of the series so far. The story was enthralling and I really enjoyed the characters, and of course the town! The author does a wonderful job at describing the events and plot without overdoing it, and I had trouble stopping the audiobook. I look forward to listening to book 4, and would happily recommend to anyone who likes fantasy, romance, and the like! I received this audiobook to listen to and left the review of my own choice.

My favorite story!!

This book follows Yvette’s POV which I have been dying to listen to since her husband handed her the divorce papers. Gosh, I think Yvette’s story is my favorite so far! Yvette has so much going on but she is always willing to listen to other people’s opinions and weigh them carefully. Jacob sounds very yummy to me and his story gave a interesting twist to the story. I love how the author hints on the romance or sex scenes and leaves the rest to our imagination. Love it!!
The narrator was great and she’s the same one that has narrated the previous books as well. Looking forward to the next book!
